Six massive pillars still remain from the original building and are known as Francis Quadrangle.

One of the biggest draws to Columbia are the sports teams that play for the University of Missouri. Fans stream in from surrounding towns and cities to see concerts and football games there. The city is also known for its fine arts influence. Jesse Auditorium and the Missouri Theater Center for the Arts are the most popular venues. Because of the university's influence, a wide range of progressive music can be found in Columbia.

The event runs during the middle of September each year.

    The prices that the landlords have raised rent to is absolutely INSANE in this town. For places not even updated it really makes this town look like it's ran by a bunch of slum lords just collecting that high rent check and taking full advantage of people that have no other choice but to rent. This is embarrassing. There needs to be laws put in place on year make and model of place so people aren't being taken full advantage of...This is awful and any landlord out there knows they are so wrong for doing people like this PERIOD!
