Shipwreck Island Water Park is a great way to beat the heat, and while Barnacle Bay is a fantastic place to take the kids for mini-golf and lazy rivers.

The Blue Crab Festival draws a large crowd of seafood-hungry revelers every October to Panama City, while the Chili Vibrations Music Festival offers up mellow vibes and a laid back ambiance all its own every fall. The annual Pirate Fest is especially popular with the college crowd, as is the Mardi Gras parades that dominate the downtown area every spring.

Where are the nearby vacation spots?

Florida is called the Sunshine State for good reason, with plenty of neighboring opportunities for fun getaways. Drive to Orlando for the Magic Kingdom and other theme parks, or head north to the wooded scenic beauty of Valdosta, GA, both easy travel distances from many Panama City apartments.
