My community says that I can host a BBQ at the pool, but I am having party planning block. Any ideas on a cool theme and how to get the word out to the community?

With the start of summer slowly creeping up on us, it is definitely time to have a BBQ. Try something like a "Dodge the April Showers Throw Down." You've also got Cinco De Mayo, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, and Memorial Day coming up too. All of which make great BBQ days. Then just ask the management to post a flyer and pass one out to the residents....or post it in the fitness center, etc. Just be sure to check with them first to see what they allow

Do you think it would be alright to practice scuba in full-gear at my community’s pool?

I Don't See Why Not, Pick An unusual Time Like Early Morning Late Evening When Rambuctious Children Wont Be Splashing and Jumping Around. A 24-Hour Pool Would Be Ideal But If Not Shoot For Opening or Closing Time Spectrum.

Keep in mind that pools are treated to cut down on germs-- Scuba gear wasn't made for pools and the cleaning products that can harm your equipment. Ask a manager (pool) if it is okay then learn what is added to the pool and if it will harm your gear.

One of the hardest things about scuba diving is climbing up the boat ladder. This is especially true in rough water. Practicing this tricky feat in a pool would really help.

HAHA! I think it would be hilarious!

Are you for real? That's a great idea. I thought I was the only one who had thought of that. I actually gave scuba instructions at my old apartment pool. People loved it. You should give it a shot once you get certified and be sure to tell your apartment office. They may be able to give you discounts or something for offering classes.

I think it'd be really cool. Just don't take any under water cameras with you. People may become a little worried... Let us know how it turns out!
