I Don't See Why Not, Pick An unusual Time Like Early Morning Late Evening When Rambuctious Children Wont Be Splashing and Jumping Around. A 24-Hour Pool Would Be Ideal But If Not Shoot For Opening or Closing Time Spectrum.
Vlt_moon answered at 11/21/2007 2:07:21 PM
Keep in mind that pools are treated to cut down on germs-- Scuba gear wasn't made for pools and the cleaning products that can harm your equipment.
Ask a manager (pool) if it is okay then learn what is added to the pool and if it will harm your gear.
pvbees answered at 9/25/2007 1:04:10 PM
One of the hardest things about scuba diving is climbing up the boat ladder. This is especially true in rough water. Practicing this tricky feat in a pool would really help.
barbyfirefly answered at 9/19/2007 11:36:17 AM
HAHA! I think it would be hilarious!
ashbydog answered at 9/19/2007 11:21:15 AM
Are you for real? That's a great idea. I thought I was the only one who had thought of that. I actually gave scuba instructions at my old apartment pool. People loved it. You should give it a shot once you get certified and be sure to tell your apartment office. They may be able to give you discounts or something for offering classes.

I think it'd be really cool. Just don't take any under water cameras with you. People may become a little worried... Let us know how it turns out!

jeffsplace answered at 1/10/2008 9:33:42 AM
There are a number of things that MUST be accurate in order for a reward to be processed:
1) it MUST be a participating community. Meaning that the comnmunity itself, must agree to pay the reward.
2) YOU must claim it on our website
3) You must also have it put on your lease AND your rental application that you found the community through APARTMENT HOME LIVING. if you put generic responses like "website", "internet", "catalog", etc...The reward CANNOT be given. You must put Apartment Home Living specifically.
4) If you have questions, you must follow up with both the apartment manager and our apartment specialists. If you contact them correctly..you will get a response.
5) Be aware that the time it takes to process each claim can take up to 5 MONTHS, so if you claimed your reward in November...its possible it could take until March to receive it.
6) Please always check your junk mail folder if you do not recieve a response
jeffsplace answered at 1/9/2008 1:33:29 PM
Our apartment specialists at: Specialist@apartmenthomeliving.com or 888-945-9545 are readily available to help in processing the reward claims and answering any questions. The process is simple and as follows: 1) Use our website to find an apartment that is participating in the reward program. Some communities choose not to and with them there is no reward. 2) PUT THAT YOU FOUND US ON YOUR LEASE/RENTAL APPLICATION...the lease must be in the same name of the person who is claiming the reward(This MUST be done to be eligible) 3) After move in, fill out the claim reward form on the tab at the top right corner of the screen 4) Once steps 1,2, and 3 are completed our specialist will call the apartment manager to verify and then the reward will be mailed to as soon as it is processed...can take between 2-6 weeks. For any further questions about the reward program visit: Reward Terms Thanks! Jeff

At our apartment community, we supply towels for the residents. Ask your friendly leasing staff members to buy a bag of bulk car towels ... they're cheap, and the residents love them!
jeffsplace answered at 10/9/2007 10:20:27 AM
Just take some air freshener with you to the gym and spray it all around the person. They should get the clue. Kidding. Tell the office to post a note about hygiene.

I'd bring in some "stuff" or wipes to clean it. If your neihbor is in the workout room with you be as dramatic as you can with cleaning to get their attention... maybe even whistle and sing our favorite childhood song - "clean up, clean up, everyone-everywhere; clean up clean up, everybody do your share"
cozad answered at 9/19/2007 12:33:36 PM
I'd ask the office to place a towel dispenser and a bottle of cleaner. Then I'd explain that you want to help them maintain the equipment while removing stench. Put it in writing and get it to the manager. I'm sure he or she will comply. If not, just bring your own towel and wipe it down. Disgusting, but you'll feel better for everyone.

You could also try using our neighborhood and city Living Guides that have a plethora of useful information on neighborhoods and cities all over the United States. You are able to research restaurants, nightlife, apartments, parks, universities and much much more near the apartments that you are looking at. It's really a great tool. I know this may seem a little out there, but go to the city's visitor center. You'll find all types of literature about all the facades of the city. From the tourists attractions to the night life. This info, coupled with your personal interests, will point you towards the part of town that you not only are most comfortable with but will enjoy the most as well. Try it! P.S. - If you're single, it's a great way to meet fun and interesting people.

What is your hobby? If it is painting, turn it into a paint room, if it is baking, extend your kithchen work area to the empty room, whatever you like, use the space for that. Have you considered turning it into a library? Just a thought. And if you just don't have the cash for a table and chairs, look in the free section of Craigs list everyday, until one comes available in your area. Good luck!
pvbees answered at 9/28/2007 1:40:31 PM
with a name like liveforthebeach you may want to bring the beach chair and umbrella out of the closet.
barbyfirefly answered at 9/27/2007 10:37:06 AM
I would prefer no dining room furniture. I don't eat there, EVER! I just use it to stack books on since I don't have a bookself. I guess it is nice when I have extra people over for seating. I think its overrated. :-)
jeffsplace answered at 9/26/2007 11:26:08 AM
There is never anything wrong with empty space. In fact, what is the opposite of empty space...clutter. Turn that dining room into an in home art gallery. Put some fun pictures or art on the wall with very affordable track lighting on the ceiling. OR Turn it into your study area. Instead, of jamming that computer desk in your bedroom with the bed and dresser, move the entire computer set-up into the would be Dining Room. There are virtually unlimited options to filling up empty space, but the thing to keep in mind is that you don't always have to make a "dining room"...a "dining room." Don't be afraid to mix it up a little!

Just click the icon at the top of the screen that says, "Find A Place", then enter your search criteria in the city you are wanting to live in. And, bam, many choices will appear...look under the amenities tab there and you can find what you are looking for. Good luck to you!

Generally speaking the pools will close during the winter. The patio areas around the pool stay open, but in some cases the pools themselves are closed. Depending on the region of course, this may vary. I know at my pool there are no signs stating that the pool is closed during the winter, but the 30 degree air outside of the pool serves as a natural deterant. Great question!
