As Senior Software Engineer Michael plays a huge roll in the inner-workings of this space ship we call ApartmentHomeLiving.com. On a daily basis he must engineer solutions to complex problems that face that range from abstract software solutions to system level solutions. Depending on the tasks at hand and the tools required, Michael has a heavy hand in the successful functioning and operation of ApartmentHomeLiving.com and often finds that simplicity leads to robust solutions.

When he’s not helping make things work around here, this Electrical and Computer Engineering graduate of THE Ohio State University enjoys learning about more about technology, computational theory and the ways of the universe. Michael also spends time increasing his knowledge of programming languages and the different distinctions between them. In addition to that, he generally enjoys gaming as well as dabbling in various musical endeavors. Recently, he’s even started gardening with his fiancée Alicia.

Michael has been working with technology for as long as he can remember. At age 12 he began programming and hasn't really stopped since. He considers himself more of an engineer/programmer then web technologist simply because he believes web technology is a fairly niche concept. He tends to look beyond the scope of a singular platform or protocol.

Our Sales Manager, Mrs. Bewley has put tremendous effort in leading our team in Texas sales, service and retention since 2004. Bringing with her over 23 years experience in the Multi-Family industry and a true passion for taking care of customers, Cindi is a huge asset to the Apartment Home Living team.

Having also served on the Austin Apartment Association Board of Directors for over 10 years, Mrs. Bewley’s dedication has not gone unnoticed. She has been a finalist for the Olin Steele Award, a Life-Time Achievement award given out once a year by the Texas Apartment Association, twice during her career. Prior to working with Apartment Home Living, Mrs. Bewley owned a Promotional Products company, Accessories Plus, specializing in promoting and marketing Apartment communities.

When she isn’t making waves in through the apartment industry, Cindi loves the beach, spending time with her husband and two boys as well as work in the yard. She and her family are members of the Lakeway Church and the Lake Travis Elementary School PTA where she volunteers her time and money to the growth of both. Mrs. Bewley’s favorite quote: "I'd rather say I am sorry I did than I wish I had" – Her Grandmother Marjorie who taught her to take risks in life.

As General Manager of Apartment Home Living, Larry always puts tremendous effort in helping the team and company grow while learning as much as they can throughout the entire process. After all, he Lives for Learning. Under Larry’s leadership, Apartment Home Living has made the transition from print to web, grown traffic by leaps and bounds and sold to Apartments.com.

Prior to AHL, Larry was the Founder, CEO and President of Sandbox.com, an online Fantasy Sports provider. At Sandbox, Larry raised more than $25 million in venture capital; steered overall company direction; and negotiated sale to All Star Stats and NBC Universal. Prior to Sandbox, Larry was the Director of Business Development at Moovies, Inc. where he raised $3.0 million in venture financing and $36 million in an IPO; closed 18 acquisitions; and facilitated negotiations with Video Update to sell the company. Prior to Moovies, Larry was a Senior Accountant at KPMG. Larry holds a BBA, cum laude, in accounting from James Madison University and received his CPA from the Commonwealth of Virginia in 1992.

Larry lives for fun with his wife Elizabeth and his three children. Larry likes to coach youth sports, race triathlons and tinker.

Originally from a small Indiana town outside Chicago, Eric (aka The Matador) has moved all over the United States before landing in Austin as a Graphic Designer for Apartment Home Living in early 2006.

A vital member of the AHL team, he attended UT-Arlington and has been given the opportunity to help design, code and style the majority of ApartmentHomeLiving.com’s interface since the first major redesign. Eric also assists in designing and delivering newsletter and e-zine content, print media and helping to develop new aspects of ApartmentHomeLiving.com as well as Apartments.com. Officially, Eric has had over 4 years experience in web/technology, but his true experience began much earlier as a child goofing around with his Grandfather’s Commodore 64.

In his spare time Eric enjoys doing nerdy web design stuff, photography, tennis, people watching in Austin, mountain biking, hammocks, significant others, and keeping his moat in top shape so it continues to refuse unwanted intruders. Notably, Eric’s photography was once featured in an urban Italian magazine called "Defrag." When asked, “If you only could only have one type of food the rest of your life, what would it be?” Eric simply answered, “The Everlasting Gobstopper…Booya! Think about it.” Touché, Eric. Touché.

As a Marketing Specialist at Apartment Home Living, Trey’s main objective is to increase brand awareness and website traffic through the development and use of dynamic video & article content, Search Engine Optimization, Social Networking, marketing/PR and any other means necessary. With a B.F.A. from SHSU, Trey is always willing to find a media outlet to express himself in ways that help residents get the most out of apartment living.

When he isn’t brainstorming ways to make the apartment lifestyle shine, Trey spends time with his beautiful wife and friends and family as well as watching, blogging about and playing sports, camping and rocking out on the Play Station 3. An Actor/Filmmaker, Trey has appeared in a number of independent features and shorts as well as on stage. Notably, his performance as a disgruntled Macy’s Elf in a 2003 production of The SantaLand Diaries landed him on the cover of the Houston Chronicle.

Originally from Houston, Trey is an avid Houston Texans, Astros and Rockets fan with a dream of visiting every ballpark in the nation one day. Trey’s favorite quote: “Pair up in threes!” – Joe DiMaggio

Dean Jenks is the National Sales Manager for Apartment Home Living where he is responsible for the prospecting and cultivation of all national accounts. His goal is to expand AHL's client base and reach as well as increase the portfolio participation of each client. Dean joined the company in 2004, as the Regional Vice President, where he has been vital to the growth of the company itself and instrumental in the start-up and growth of several of the current Texas and national markets.

Dean has been in the Multi-Family Housing industry for over 18 years and has been an active member of the national, state and local apartment associations serving on numerous boards and committees including 3 Board terms for the Apartment Association of Greater Dallas and 2 terms with Apartment Association of Tarrant County. Prior to his current position, Dean spent 14 years as the North Texas Regional Director for The Apartment Guide, where under his leadership, the publication grew to be the largest revenue generating publication and experienced year over year growth margins averaging over 25%.

Telling from the fact that he lives for the sporting life, Dean enjoys being with the family, boating, attending sporting events (both professional and for the kids), shooting clays, biking and hiking in his spare time. Originally from El Paso, The Portland State Management Grad lets his true Texas roots shine through as huge Dallas Cowboys fan.

A Production Coordinator for Apartment Home Living, Brianne does a little bit of it all. From sales support and customer service to building ads to marketing, social media and graphic design, Brianne’s skills have been a true asset to the team since the Summer of 2005.

Originally from Brandon, Mississippi, Brianne attended the University of Southern Mississippi where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Communication. Much of her graphic skill can be seen in Apartment Home Living’s as she has helped to develop the company’s logotype of corporate visual identity in 2006. A notable past accomplishment includes being awarded a PRism award for her work with a past company’s in house magazine.

When she isn’t working, there is nothing Brianne loves to do more for fun than spending time with her husband Chris and her daughter Betty, who was born January 2009. If she is able to find some free time outside of that Brianne enjoys photography, traveling, running, Texas-Style gardening and of course food and wine.

Brian is a master of tomfoolery who works as a Graphic Designer at ApartmentHomeLiving.com. The self-proclaimed “Graphicalizer,” Brian is a whiz at creating graphics and vector art for both print and web, but also has a strong hand in on the Engineering side through comprehensive testing and coding knowledge.

Brian brings with him over 4 years in the technology and design industries including experience working as a Production/Design Manager for a group of 6 local newspapers which has helped him fit right in at ApartmentHomeLiving.com. A Texas Tech alum, Brian proudly displays his Black and Red Lubbock roots. You’ll often find Brian skipping on lunch to hit the rock gym or the boulders and he’s never afraid to impress others with his fake Jamaican-Irish fusion accent. Brian would like to give a shout out to all of those homeless pirates!

Although his fascination of coffee may never be fully understood, Software Engineer extraordinaire Micah Nolte’s love for bacon has spread like wildfire and become somewhat of fun theme among the Apartment Home Living team.

Micah wears many hats that help keep ApartmentHomeLiving.com up and running. “I build things. I fix things too,” he modestly says describing what he does for AHL. That may be the understatement of the century. From coding to design and layout to SEO and website maintenance, Micah is a vital part of the Apartment Home Living team. A Texas Tech Grad with a degree in Graphic Design, Micah made his first website in 1997 that prompted him to learn coding and over ten years later he has become somewhat of a coding guru.

When Micah isn’t making everything work around here, he can be found playing a few rounds of Team Fortress 2, building his own websites and of course…eating bacon! His dream vacation is going to a solitary office at the top of a mountain, where there are no distractions except a blazing fast internet connection and lots and lots of bacon.

Kevin is a strong motivator and leader to the Apartment Home Living team. As Chief Technical Architect and Strategist, he is always at the top of his game and ready to help the engineering and creative teams succeed at completing any challenge. Through Kevin’s leadership and planning, the company has faced tremendous growth and continues to grow daily. He’s also pretty darn competitive at foosball too.

Kevin’s experiences prior to joining Apartment Home Living span both the corporate and entrepreneurial worlds. As a founding partner of Meridian Internet Services, Inc. Kevin was instrumental in designing, branding, and managing a network of social networking communities which garnered nearly 1 million registered users. During his time with Meridian, he was a key player in the creation of Meridian World Data, a leading provider of geographic data used in online and software applications. This company’s customers included Microsoft, the United Nations, PeopleSoft, General Motors, and numerous other governments and Fortune 500 businesses.

In technical roles, Mr. Ready spent parts of his career at Dell Computer Corporation and Toshiba Corporation. At Dell, he was responsible for a key software component used in the development and testing of new products designs, and their subsequent roll-out for factory production. Later, at Toshiba Corporation, Mr. Ready managed and was responsible for several multi million dollar software projects within the “Cell Broadband Engine” project, a joint venture between Sony, Toshiba, and IBM.

As IT Manager, Rick is responsible for hardware and software use at Apartment Home Living. His valued contribution as a team member doesn’t stop there however. Rick is also the lead developer as well has hands in making sure the software we develop works on the hardware we run.

As the most tenured member of the AHL, Rick has worked extremely hard and put a lot of time and effort into helping the company into what it is today. Rick developed the very popular original digital brochure for managers, which has evolved considerably with input from others over time. He often gets nostalgic just looking at it. He’s very proud of the engineering team that he has the pleasure of working with and can’t help but be amazed at the collective accomplishments that his fellow team members have achieved and will continue to achieve through time.

Although from an advertising and customer service background, Rick switched gears while working for a printing company that needed a website for inventory control and print on demand. The budget was non-existent, but he was determined to get it done. Thus, a programmer was born! Originally from McAllen,Texas, Rick spends his down time playing guitar, creating 3d games and riding his mountain bike.
