Hotel Spends $200,000 on Home for Ducks
The 24-by-12-foot enclosure features granite floors, a large viewing window, a scaled-down replica of the hotel and a swimming fountain adorned with two bronze ducks. Jason Sensat, the hotel's duck chief, said the birds seem happy in their new home.

$500,000 Parking Space? No Recession in Vail, I see...
The latest price for a spot in Vail’s Founders garage, located in the Village across from the Christiana, is $500,000. “That’s what I think the going rate is going from now on,” said Buzz Schleper, the spot’s owner. “There’s always somebody out there who has money to spend on a good Vail parking spot. I’m sure it’ll sell. There’s no hurry."

Year of the Thaw: CNN's 2009 Economic Forecast
In the third quarter of 2008, consumer spending was expected to fall for the first time since 1991 - an inducement to retailers to trim prices in 2009. Most economists expect consumer prices to rise by less than 3% next year.
