You've awaken from a solid night's sleep, fed the cats, hit the old ab roller machine, and cleaned up the laundry from around your apartment. After that much activity, you owe yourself a hearty lunch; you yearn for something a tad higher end than the typical fast food drive thru's can offer, but also don't want to break the bank. Plus, it has to be somewhere fairly quick on the service front, since you need to get back to your apartment in time to slide in another batch of laundry. Fortunately for all Akron-area apartment-ites on a tight schedule, Crave is just what the doctor ordered. Decidedly adventurous in its menu offerings, Crave somehow finds a way in which to split the intimacy of a mom and pop luncheon with the modern spin of a larger city's fine dining scene. Think you've seen it all in the realm of appetizers? Then marvel at Crave's extensive and taste bud-popping selections such as chorizo and goat cheese stuffed jumbo olives, curry breaded fried pickle chips, or pomegranate-splashed lamb ribs. And for every luncheon standard (their Ruben is to die for, with their cheeseburgers ranking a close second) Crave offers up two category-defying creations to match. Still skeptical? How about a hearty helping of pulled pork, sandwiched between a pretzel bun and braised in rich espresso? Or how about a BLT comprised of peppered bacon, pea sprouts and chunks of poached lobster? And that's just the lunch menu. As with any Akron area restaurant, a wallet-savvy apartment-ite is going to want to score a bargain for their hard-earned dollar. Fortunately, Crave's lunch menu items average out around $8, although those in search of dinner entrees can expect the usual range of $12-15.
