Great town, good apartment, not so good other tenants
October 11, 2015 - Reseña de Apartments.comWe love our apartment... in theory anyway. The town itself is amazing, we absolutely love it. The apartment we rent is more townhouse style with kitchen, dining room, living room on the first floor and bedrooms upstairs. The issues we have started with the previous landlord who has since sold the building and left the new owner to deal with them. The upstairs area is lovely, the bathroom definitely needs a new sink cabinet but that's easily ignored. Downstairs is our problem area. When ...we rented the apartment initially it had lovely tin ceilings that we loved but those soon had to be covered after a building inspector fined the landlord. Soon after that the ceiling starting leaking in our kitchen causing us to come home one day to a mountain of tiles having fallen onto the floor. It has been repaired twice since but is still leaking. Our current landlord is working to get it fixed though, so some good news there. The unavoidable issue is that the tenants that live above our kitchen/living room area have no regard for others. They constantly STOMP around, scream, yell and play loud music. If they were not there the living conditions would highly improve. Also, since it's an older building, there's a hot/cold water issue. Meaning if anyone is using the water and you're in shower you sure know it! Again, not a huge ordeal but something to be aware of. Overall the new landlord is working hard to improve the apartment and has been super responsive whenever there is an issue.Leer Más
