I Can't Really Imagine Living Anywhere Else
July 23, 2015For Iowa City, this place is great. I have a local landlord, and he works with his sister to manage their properties. (Read: the AC breaks at 7pm on a Sunday? He'll be over at 8pm to fix it, and he'll bring a window AC for the mean time. I know no where else in Iowa City where that happens.) He charges very reasonable rent; my two-bedroom is $950/ month. I'm walking distance from campus, downtown, and two grocery stores (eight minutes, or six to the languages building, where I always seem to have ...class at 8am.) The building is historic, build before 1900, but the apartment has undergone significant renovations. It does, however, retain its charm, its decorative windows (now with modern insulation capabilities in the winter,) and its light fixtures. There are eleven windows in about 400 square feet, so it always feels light and airy. Surprise: I'm moving! Why? Why in the world would I ever do that?! I'm moving down the block, to another house owned by the same company. (So, really, it's not much of a move at all.) My current apartment is a two-bedroom, and I'm really looking forward to having my new small studio to myself.Leer MásReseña de Apartments.com
