conversations especially in bathrooms. water bill is free, but water gets cold after 15 minutes, neighbors garbage disposal comes up through sinks and dishwasher. the dishwashers are practically useless and you definitely need to hand wash everything until spotless. if you leave one speck, the dishwasher will not get it. the washer makes your clothes smell, even with the nicest scented detergents or softeners. the dryer doesnt dry unless you put in at least 3-4 extra quarters per load. the toilet water will come through the ceiling. the ceilings have cracked and again you have to self repair because you cant get help. the ac units constantly break and are extremely loud if they do work. you probably wont be able to hear someone across the room without raising your voice. the bedrooms get extremely hot in the summer unless you install your own fan. the windows leak air into your rooms, so it is freezing in winter unless you blast the heat. which smells. everything is so outdated. including all appliances. the fridge has died and we had to replace with our own. our oven died and we had to replace on our own. you can count on the landscaper coming every week, but the only people who plow and shovel the driveway in the winter is the people who live here. theres constantly no salt ever refilled in the winter unless people get their own. the driveway is in horrible condition and gets worse every year with no fix. there was a storm that took out the entire bottom of the driveway that was at least 6-7 inches deep and was as wide as the whole driveway. it was not fixed for months. people constantly scrape the bottoms of their cars. parking is okay sometimes. it can fit 6 cars on each side, but people tend to park so only 4 cars can fit, maybe 5 if lucky. if you really need a place to stay, it is not the worst. but there are much nicer places on the same street.
