September 8, 2022 - Reseña de Apartments.comHonestly the worst apartment complex I've ever lived (and I've lived in some bad complexes). Management is HORRIFFIC. They don't answer the phones, don't respond when you email them, ignore maintenance requests. Anytime you walk in there you get an attitude from the people working. HUGE HUGE HUGE pest issue. Were told that pest control will come weekly- that doesn't happen. It was so bad we couldn't walk into a room without scanning for bugs first. The gate is never closed so people just walk ...in and out of the complex all the time. Cars are constantly getting broken into, sketchy people walking around the complex. Even after saying something to management they did NOTHING to help solve the issue. There's never any parking- and don't even try to come or have guests come past 7pm. People use the very few visitor spots as spots for their second/third/extra cars that don't work and are up on jacks. Theres a few cars that haven't moved a single time in the months of living there. The actual maintenance man is great- he just obviously is tied down due to HORRIBLE management and staff in the office. Honestly id rent ANYWHERE else.Leer MásProperty Manager Responded

Unsafe place to live
October 4, 2021 - Reseña de Apartments.comThe property manager is unprofessional, the maintenance staff does not actually know how to fix stuff. They just do short cuts so they have to keep coming back. There is a lot of illegal activity on the property, but the property manager is oblivious even though her and a maintenance man live in the complex. The breaker boxes are outside the doors where anyone can access them. The mailboxes are broken and anyone can access them. They pay for security that is never on the property. March 18, 2021 - Reseña de Apartments.comMoved here from New York, and I'm very pleased with this place. The management is great and super friendly. Always there to respond to any needs I have, maintenance resolves all your requests within 1-2 days max. I was pleasantly surprised how quickly they are to respond. The apartments are clean, there's no issues with bugs, or mice. Utilities work well, people in the complex are friendly and easy going. Overall I'm very pleased with this place and centralized to Austin. It's less than 10 ...minutes from Downtown, 10 minutes from the airport, and 7 minutes from South Congress. November 22, 2020 - Reseña de Apartments.comIve been living here at Altura Avesta for the past 4 yrs and i love it the staff is great and also the mainteance workers when something has to be done in the apartment like mainteance or anything else its done the swimming pool is always maintane always cleaned great BBQ area to have a cook out i have great neigbors next to me and upstairs overall i love living here from my 20 yrs living in Austin coming in 2000 from all the apartments i lived at this is the best placed that i lived at.Property Manager Responded

Worst place I’ve lived

Management left me without air conditioning for a week in 100 degree weather then when they did fix it did a terrible job. There are multiple big dogs that people leave on their balcony overnight that just bark nonstop and management just seems to ignore. Add to it the neighborhood is not somewhere you want to be at night and I’ve lived in some dicey places. After seeing all this I’ve requested multiple times to just be let out of my lease for my ...own health and safety but they refuse. I can’t stress enough how much I’d avoid this place. Not worth the money

Management has said multiply times they are getting new ownership and a new management team. They say “things are going to get better and change soon.” When in reality they take weeks to take care of maintenance issues and only care about getting your money.
BETTER OFF HOMELESS

Maintenance never does anything, main office is clueless and of ZERO help, and it's just not worth the pain. I've had the displeasure of living here and the issues I had when living there were unimaginable. My first unit never had a working AC, IN TEXAS THIS IS INSANE, and when they finally got around to doing anything 7 months had already passed by. They moved me to a different unit which they promised had working appliances and that was a lie. ...Plugs didn't work, patio leaked water and flooded every time it rained, my water heater blew up two times, and NO WORKING AC. They finally got around to fixing my AC and replaced it, only they had to gut my ceiling and they left everything exposed for the rest of my time there until move out. Now that I'm done with my lease, they are keeping my security deposit and saying I owe them more money. Please don't make the mistake I did by leasing here.Leer MásProperty Manager Responded

You can probably do better
September 24, 2015 - Reseña de Apartments.comWhen you first walk in as a potential renter this complex treats you well. They are responsive and helpful, the lobby is beautiful and the show apartment is well kept and filled with potential. This is not reality. In reality once you are part of the community they will forget about you. Maintenance requests go unanswered, people working in the office become apathetic and almost hostile to you when you bring issues to their attention. The bills for both electric and water are MUCH higher than ...what they will tell you. This is because you share water with everyone in your building and the building itself leaks ac like a sieve. The rooms are spacious, and despite the trashy look of the outside the insides are nice enough. The location is decent, being a short drive or bike ride to the hike and bike trail which can get you into town. Finding parking is hard after everyone gets off work. Overall I suggest you look at the back of the apartments, where people actually live. Ask many questions, but keep in mind they may not tell you the whole truth and most importantly know that this complex is on the repeat offender program. Which means that the city has received numerous health and safety complaints within a 24 month period about this complex.Leer Más

September 3, 2015 - Reseña de Apartments.comThe pictures are completely INACCURATE!!! Right now there is trash out to the streets where you have to drive around it. Rats, roach infestation, slumlords at their best! None of the facilities work and the pictures online are nothing like you will actually get. I did not have working A/C for over 3 weeks and they are not willing to prorate or do anything about it as far as appeasement. This in addition to floorboards being up, ceiling crumbling in, door will not shut, the list goes on. When you ...ask them to fix something they give you the run around until you threaten legal action then they hide behind the lease saying it was a non emergency. Water is cut off with no notice and then they leave you once they turn it back on for DAYS without HOT WATER. I am telling you if you value your health and safety (I live under a trap house with 8 grown men sharing the apartment) spend your money elsewhere. We are in court now and I will be breaking my lease as soon as I get the go ahead from the judge. I can not tell you how quickly you should run from this apartment complex. They have been on the Austin Repeat Offender's List for OVER A YEAR under the property management name Presidium. RUN, RUN, RUN, RUN, RUN, RUN!!!!!! Did I mention RUN!!!!Leer Más
