Will no repair water pipes in wall, mold growing
August 1, 2024Water is oozing out of the floor and wall, and after repeated requests for repair, the office just marks my repairs as resolved without ever sending anybody into my apartment. The floors have a constant half inch of water on them!! They know how bad it is as maintenance did come in after the first request. Water is literally oozing out of the carpet and vinyl flooring, and wall. We have cameras in the apartment and know that no one has even entered my apartment since that first time ...themaintenance man came in, but they keep marking my requests for repair as resolved and even deleting my comments on the closed tickets when I say it is definitely NOT resolved. It's now musty moldy and a health hazard and I cannot get help from the front office or from maintenance. DO NOT RECOMMENDProperty Manager Responded

Horrible Management
October 7, 2022DO NOT MOVE HERE !!! We moved out in June 2022 and still have not heard anything about our security deposit. Have been calling and emailing them multiple times about our security deposit and no one picks up the phone or email back.. HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT !!!!!!!! They may have some nice reviews from current residents ...but wait they they move out.. They just take your moneyProperty Manager Responded

Some issues but staff are wonderful
August 14, 2022My boyfriend and I have really enjoyed living here for the past year. There have been some issues with our maintenance (e.g., AC breaking a couple of times) and with the resident portal (e.g., it being down for much longer than expected for updating), but the staff are really responsive and understanding to any issues. I'm particularly grateful to Avery who's helped us with our AC and has been especially responsive and friendly, even when he had to help us while he was on call on a Saturday ...afternoon. The location is great and the layout and interior of the apartment are perfect. The rent does go up quite a lot every year, so we may get priced out of staying, but I would generally recommend it.Property Manager Responded

Worst apartment I have been
July 26, 2022I have been living at Windmeadow for a year now, this is the worst apartment I have been in, they have so many issues 1. AC not working fixed so many times and still very hot when I have my desktop on and very loud AC for whole day. 2. Bugs/Ants/cockroaches everywhere, main issue, I attached a photo when I tried to move out and clean the refrigerator and there is a cockroach in it! Have been seen cockroach or flying bugs on my bed or on the roof so many times. 3. Great location but really bad ...1b1b layout, hard to move in with furnitures and hard to move out as well, and really old construction, I would rather live a bit far from the city. 4. Great and modern utilities at the leasing office, like oven, stove, refrigerator, sink. But you will see completely different in your apartment. Really not worth it over 1k for 1b1b, I think 800 max, you can find much much better apartment than this!Property Manager Responded

Great location, great landscaping, great staff
December 12, 2019The location of this place is so convenient if you are a student at UF or if you work near any of the local hospitals. It is also in walking distance to the best food and grocery shopping in the city! The landscaping is always so well kept and it's a great and safe neighborhood to take walk in. Staff is really nice and helpful and they call me by my name when I come in like they know me personally, it is a nice feeling.Property Manager Responded

No Transparency
October 20, 2019I am not renewing my contract. The rent is overpriced for the quality of service they offer. I have had numerous problems with the AC unit, plumbing, dishwasher, and laundry machines in the laundry room. Machine washers and dryers are always broken and the apartment complex management is never on top of the issues we have. This place is only interested in getting money from people. Residents must pay $13.00 per month for the city for trash pick up plus $23.00 for valet trash pick up because ...management can not resolve the problem of residents throwing organic trash in the recycling bins. My suggestion is, do not sign a contract with these people!Property Manager Responded

Terrible Place
August 19, 2019I just moved out of this apartment complex and my only advice to potential residents is that it would be a very bad idea to stay here. There have been multiple issues related to plumbing - from broken pipes to regular water shutdowns to Non-Stop water maintenance issues. In fact, I can probably make a collage of all the emails that I've got from the management telling me about water shut downs every other week. I have a few friends who still live there (and are itching to get out when their ...lease ends) who just told me about some additional charges that the management has introduced related to picking up trash against their will (what a joke!) . Tricking Residents
August 12, 2019I am super furious with how they implemented the trash valet service recently. They are forcing me (and other residents) to pay additional $23 every month so that they can arrange some fancy valet to come pick our trash. We are adults and can throw our trash on our own. Just because a few residents don't follow the rules, they are punishing the vast majority with the increased rent and this crappy valet service for removing trash. I have always followed their rules and despite living in 1BR, I ...have to pay the same trash valet fees that a 2BR or a 3BR apartment has to pay. Need a quick reason to leave these guys and find a more honest complex to live in.Property Manager Responded

June 10, 2019Please don't trust Windmeadows based on what you see on the internet. They have lots of charges and issues they didn't communicate on the internet. You get to pay substantial amount for some of the amenities they listed aside from the rent. You will also forfeit your application fee whenever you apply unlike others. Run away from windmeadows as fast as you can!
November 20, 2018The price of this apartment is the top for this area you can find many other apartments in the same area for a fraction of the cost with all the same amenities. Save yourself and your family the invasion of privacy and lies of living here... go somewhere else. We have only been here 4 months... just go somewhere else. In only 4 months but so far MANY serious issues. 1) I was told i was getting an "upgraded" apartment unit. Nothing in the apartment is even close to new, the washer leaked by the ...gallon and the maintenance manager accused me of being responsible for it even though i literally used it for the first time and it was broken but he claimed it wasnt broke and left a moldy mess. Of course next time i used the washer it leaked gallons, this time they left the mold there for weeks and still havent properly fixed the washer (4 months) 2) the stove smokes every time i turn it on, i put in a request to have it fixed and the same day was threatened with an eviction by an employee who refused to identify himself or even give his name. VERY CREPPY 3) they will enter your apartment all the time without your permission, they've even set off my neighbors alarms, expect an "unscheduled inspection" every single month if not more, they will monitor your work schedule and enter purposely when you aren't home. I work a different schedule then most so I've seen it firsthand 4) a unidentified employee tried to enter my apartment for an "inspection" and refused to give his name and then threatened me with illegal retaliation for requesting a functional stove I assume. I kindly asked his name bc ive never seen him before, he had no uniform or ID and he replied "none of your business" refused to tell me his name and said he was going to go back to the office and have me evicted for asking Would you let someone in your house who refused to give you their name and instead threatened you for asking? I still dont know who this person is but I'm 4 months pregnant and I will call the police and protect myself if this continues. I asked for a broken stove to be fixed which starts a fire every time its turned on and this is their response?!Property Manager Responded

STAY AWAY
June 26, 2018Save yourself from a year of headaches, rude office staff, and trash filled streets. This complex is seriously disgusting. The Office staff are always rude & seem to be bothered when you call, they never have answers & will “email you with an answer” which they never do. Our rent has been “lost” for the past 9 months, office can’t be bothered to actually help when you call but will have a Notice To Pay Rent or Evacuate letter on your door within the hour, but every time we come with receipts it ...magically turns into a “mistake” of some sort. I could understand a few mistakes but for 9 MONTHS now come on! Our air conditioning has broken 8 times in the past 15 days & the office staff refuses to let maintenance buy another unit. One of the first times this happened 3 hours after we called the woman that answered told me “Sorry maintenance hasn’t been by I just realized I have the wrong number” This place is seriously a joke. Let me also mention that they constantly have issues where they have to turn the water off for the entire complex 4-5 hours a day and then there was the lovely time our water Was off for 15 hours because they waited so long to call an actual company to come fix the busted pipes. Talk about cheapppppp! The ONLY highlight is the amazing maintenance men that go above & beyond to try & fix problems that the corporation won’t. We also just started paying a $12 trash fee (after living here for almost 2 years & never hearing about this) even though at least once a month the trash will over flow into the streets making it look like you live in an actual garbage dump.
