TERRIBLE
February 29, 2024All of the office staff is very rude and unprofessional. Whether they yell at you for complaining or just don’t answer the phone/call back. Maintenance does half the job and leaves, or does it in full the quickest way possible. The units are all so outdated and are definitely not worth the cost of rent. The laundry rooms are also very outdated with washer and dryers that don’t work half the time, and either don’t spin out, or burn your clothes, and again when complaining the office does ...absolutely nothing. February 23, 2024I cant say enough good things about this place. I have been here 3 years and don't have anything negative to say. The staff take pride in keeping everything up to date and cared for and it shows. lawns are always cared for, sidewalks and roads plowed in the winter, maintenance is on top of any issues that arise, and the office staff or very friendly and helpful.Property Manager Responded

May 5, 2023Lived in a tiny one bedroom that wasn’t worth the price. Whenever I talked to the assistant property manager she got a horrible attitude with me, and they tried to charge us almost $1,000 in move-out charges before they were disputed with corporate. Oh, and they worked into their lease that they may enter your apartment when they deem necessary without any notice. They entered my apartment about 5 times when I lived there, none of which were prompted. Best to avoid this place.Property Manager Responded

The best in Elkhart apartments
March 18, 2023I've lived at this complex longer than most, almost 15 years total, and I wouldn't have stayed this long at any other apartment complex I've lived at. The office staff is always very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The grounds are as well kept as any I've ever seen. The maintenance staff is responsive and communicative, and always give a wave when you see them out and about. And it's clear the ownership actually cares about the quality of these buildings, as we've had a lot of renovation on ...roofs, doors, balconies and other structures, not to mention the addition of a fenced dog park and a playground within the last few years. They offer a lot of variety in floorplans as well, with everything from a tiny bachelor pad up to a two-bed/two-bath with garage and shed space. I would recommend Avalon Woods to anyone looking for an Elkhart apartment for any amount of time.Property Manager Responded

Never had better
February 6, 2020I have been in this community on and off for 5 years, I keep coming back because I’ve never had such a pleasurable renting experience. The ladies in the front office are so welcoming and friendly, which is what makes a community bright. Truly feels like a little family. It is SAFE. I feel extremely safe. The price. The location. Great Impression So Far
February 28, 2019My husband and I are moving to Elkhart on pretty special circumstances, and an Avalon Woods’ leasing agent was so accommodating to our rushed needs. We currently live approximately 4 hours away, and we were in town late in the business day frantically trying to find a place to live within 2 weeks. We were so thankful when Avalon Woods/West was able to give us a tour of TWO very nice units that day, we immediately applied for a home in Avalon West. We thought their rent prices were fair ...overall. Their pet fees were just a bit costly especially for others in the area, but the units were beautiful. There were pets accompanying their owners the office space as well as kids participating in a local library’s craft event. Lindsay, our leasing agent, was so warm and friendly! Their amenities are fantastic and apparently you are allowed to paint the walls! We are SO hoping our application is approved so we can make Avalon West home in Elkhart!Property Manager Responded
