January 6, 2026Do you like loud neighbors who don't respect the rules? If yes, then Breakers Point is for you. Do you like loud cars racing through the parking lot at all hours of the day/night? If yes, then Breakers Point is for you. Do you like having neighbors who leave trash in the parking lot and outside their doors? If yes, then Breakers Point is for you. Do you like constant sirens and cars racing around the neighborhood? If yes, then Breakers Point is for you. How about construction noise for the ...past 2 years? If yes, then Breakers Point is for you. Do you like tight parking spaces so your neighbors can scratch your car? If yes, then Breakers Point is for you. Overall, before Breakers Point this place was called Alta Surf. It was a MUCH, quieter, nicer place to live. The new management company just simply doesn't care. February 13, 2025Living at Breakers Point has been an amazing experience! The property is gorgeous and truly feels like a vacation every day. The homes are spacious, modern, and thoughtfully designed, offering a comfortable and stylish living space. The management team is incredibly friendly and always available to assist with any needs or questions. Wonderfule quality of life
May 6, 2024Amazing office staff, even more amazing maintenance!! As with every apartment I have ever lived in, there were a few quirks at the beginning. Maintenance had every one handled within 24 hours. Great staff. Do not hesitate to choose Alta Surf as your new home. Amazing location, great amenities, and always a wonderful place to come home to. Constant AC failure and soaking wet carpet
August 8, 2022I’ve been here almost a year and I can’t wait to leave. No parking
November 2, 2021The apartment has limited closet space and it is older although updated. Overall it is a nice apartment with some community amenities. The issue here is the very limited parking space and the unwillingness and inability from office staff to address it. Part of their email response to me was "...drive around the parking lot until you find one". If you don't have a car our your daily schedule permits for you to be home before 6pm. My Home is Alta Surf Apartments
September 11, 2017I have lived at Alta Surf going on 3 years now. My family and I have enjoyed every part of Alta Surf from the grounds, community feel, staff and amenities. They have monthly events to keep things interesting and it allows you to meet more of your neighbors. The pool is our favorite spot! I know a lot of people complain about there being no playground however I rented here knowing that and it hasn't been a problem for us! We take advantage of all the others things they do have. Not for Everyone
July 13, 2017Alta Surf is fine for people who don't mind fairly rigorous rules and ridiculous fines (like $25 for having a garbage bag at your front door for 10 minutes because you were vacuuming your front foyer). It is well located with easy access to Myrtle Beach and points north or south. It does have a nice pool and clubhouse. The maintenance staff is attentive and they do fix things quickly. You have to cart your garbage to a dumpster and the mailboxes may be a bit far depending on where your apartment ...is within the complex. As some other reviewers have suggested it's not the most kid friendly place but not bad for pets. Security is a concern as my apartment was robbed within the first 2 months of living there. In the apartment above me the tenants were fairly noisy at all hours of the night and I could get little assistance from management. Management was completely disinterested in negotiating the last 2 months of my 1 year lease despite the apartment being empty. In their defense they did have a signed lease and a deal is a deal but understand that these people live by the letter of the Law and their regulations, rules, etc and will not negotiate with you period. If you're ok with that and many people are, then knock yourself out, its not a bad place. Don't waste your time and money
August 12, 2016Worst management I have ever experienced. They lack professionalism and or experience. They are vulchers. I lived there for five years and heard complaints from former residents I became friendly with several neighbors they were charged excessively for normal wear and tear of the carpeting ,improper spackeling ,painting ,cleaning etc. They claimed small trivia issues to glom your security deposit. It wasn't until I moved they pulled the same trick with me. You can pretty much kiss your ...security deposit goodbye. In addition I received numerous harassing letters while living there on my door threatening penalties for erronous claims of not picking up after my pet (with no proof or witness or fact checking) I always picked up. My small Chihuahua was disabled I had to carry her BC she could hardly walk and got letters claiming i walked her without a leash . More threatening warning letters left on my door. I'm on a permanent vacation!
August 12, 2015The staff is very friendly, professional and expert in making us feel right at home. They are always very happy to assist you in any way possible. One of my favorite features of this apartment is the open concept layout. The apartment is terrific, with the rooms being just the right size and it comes with many safety features. To my amazement, having never seen this before, there’s a sprinkler in every room. Also, there are hardwired smoke alarms throughout the apartment. I love my screened-in ...porch and its view, which is tree-lined. There is ample room in both walk-in closets that also include built-in shelves. The laundry room is perfect and has roomy cabinets. The kitchen has great appliances, perfectly placed for the greatest efficiency and includes a dishwasher, built-in microwave oven, an electric stove with oven, a nice sized refrigerator and lots of cabinets. The double-sink is built into an island that faces the living room, making it easy to talk to your guests while preparing food. The windows are large and let in a lot of daylight, which I love. There are tons of outlets, so no extension cords are needed, ever. The apartment comes fully carpeted except for the kitchen and the two bathrooms, which have nice flooring that’s easy to clean. The outdoor swimming pool is large, gorgeous and always has sparkling clean water, since it is very well-maintained at all times. There are several lounge chairs, tables with umbrellas and regular chairs with plenty of room for everyone. There are grills close enough to each building for convenient cooking if you want to bring the food back to your house. If you want to eat near the grill, they all have a nice picnic table and a large wastebasket nearby. We have a large clubhouse that contains a large screen TV, lounge chairs, a pool table and a coffee machine. The business office has two great desktop computer setups that include printers and copiers. There’s also a bookshelf for borrowing books and there’s a free DVD lending library. This is a wonderful, dog-friendly community and there are many conveniently-located doggy cleanup stations. Best of all for us dog-lovers is that we have a doggy playground! 2 years and staying...HOME
September 6, 2015After living through out North Carolina and now South Carolina, I can now say I have found HOME at Alta Surf apartments. Close to the beach, very close to shopping, easy access to highways and by ways. My apartment is perfect for me. The maintenance team has taken care of all my needs. The office staff is friendly and helpful when I need them. The grounds are lush and well groomed. Pool is fantastic, pet park is nice, its fun to see the dog running and playing safety. Our new life
August 10, 2015We are both 65 and I have had my share of illnesses. We sold our home in Massachusetts and started to look for apartment living in the Myrtle Beach area. This is where we came across Alta Surf. We made an appointment to go in and see what they had to offer, everyone was so friendly and helpful they had already made us feel welcomed and we hadn't signed an agreement yet. They were not pushy just helpful. I needed suggestions as to where to go for cancer specialists, urologists etc. they ...actually printed off hospitals, specialists, etc. and gave them to me. As I already stated we hadn't signed anything yet and they went that far out of their way to help someone. We were greatly impressed by that. After that they took us on a tour of Alta Surf and showed us the apartments that were available. It didn't take us long to know this is where we belonged. We have been here a little over 2 1/2 years and just signed on for a third year. They had everything we wanted barbecues, beautiful pool with all the lounge chairs and tables and chairs you would ever need along with a beautiful clubhouse. I have never had a problem that they did not work with me to solve. The maintenance crew here is amazing. They will come in to correct any problem you are having almost immediately. I know back home in Massachusetts a service tech. was always days out for an appointment, not here your problems are taken care of right away. They also have lawn maintenance that comes in weekly to make sure everything is beautifully kept up, they even have a dog park!!!! As far as activities go, the rental office is always coming up with ideas to keep our little community together in a fun way. The pool is amazing and very well kept up. My husband is there everyday, it is a joy for him to enjoy it and not have to clean it and keep up the maintenance of it. The free car wash is another perk we also enjoy. We have also made quite a few friends here, it's nice to be able to stop and talk to your neighbors about our families and whether or not your going to the pool today and have them say save me a seat I'll be down later. It is just a very friendly, caring, safe place to live. We may have been a little nervous about moving to Myrtle Beach after owning our own home for 30 years but after finding Alta Surf and the maintenance free living we know we made the right decision.Leer MásReseña de Apartments.com
