My mother and I toured this property and she decided to put a hold on an apartment. They do not advertise that they are a low income housing tax credit property, and as such have a maximum income. When we told them she had an IRA, they said it would be no problem, assets aren't counted. Based on this, my mother went ahead and put her house up for sale and accepted an offer within days, still expecting to have a couple weeks to gradually move her into her new apartment before closing. ...woman who was assigned her case continually lost and asked for paperwork that had been already provided to her, even mailed to her from my mother's bank! It took them a MONTH to get everything straightened out, and in the meantime my mother had to move all her belongings into a Uhaul and get a hotel room because of the incompetence of this woman. In the end, she was denied due to dividends from her IRA counted as income, even though they are immediately reinvested as part of her managed account and not considered income by the IRS. Now my mother is homeless, under immense stress, while we scramble to try to find another apartment for her to move into. I can not state it strongly enough to stay away from here!
