Roaches
December 29, 2021ROACHES! You think you know roaches but you don't know roaches. Don't be cheap. Pay an extra $100 bucks and find a nicer place to live. I made it 2 months with cockroaches in my coffee pot, in any open beverage, every wall, every morning, scattering everywhere until last week I thought I felt one on my face in the middle of the night. Turned on the lights and searched with my little vacuum and yup, found it in my bed. Management still hasn't fixed my sink after pest control recommended it twice. ...Pest control sprayed so much they had to stop because they said it wasn't safe for me to be in the unit with that much spray. And the roaches didn't flinch. The office staff are friendly and very nice. But don't cheap out like I did. You think you can deal with the roaches until you can't. Then you're spending thousands like me to break a lease. I could've spent an extra $100 and just gotten a nicer place.Property Manager Responded

wouldn’t recommend
January 3, 2021This place was my first apartment ever and it was a bad experience the entire 16 months the lady’s in the office have no respect even the apartment manager when she calls she never introduce herself so unprofessional threw this whole pandemic they have really been the highlight of my anxiety and STRESS . I wouldn’t recommend I could write a book on the amount of disrespect I’ve received living here but my time is much to valuable good day people.Property Manager Responded

Beautiful Property, Great Staff
October 17, 2020I've been a resident here for 3+ years and after reading some of the nasty reviews, I felt it necessary to mention the highlights I've experienced. First off, bugs are NOT an issue, thank the Lord! A lot of people with pests must live pretty nasty to attract them, especially since the property offers pest control services every Monday. Secondly, I haven't had any safety concerns at all and nor have my neighbors in the area, trust me, I've asked around!!! The property is well lit at night, ...which gives me a peace of mind, and it's gated, so only residents can grant access to others. Thirdly, the office and maintenance staff are such sweethearts! The guys have helped me numerous times and the ladies in the office always greet me with a smile and take care of me (if you need an apartment, ask for Rachel! She's the best! . The manager, Carolyn, is very respectful and kind compared to other managers in that have worked in that office. Work orders get taken care of quick, and they all really care about your well-being, which makes me sad when I see these negative comments that I do not believe are true about them. :( Only thing I'd say is I had issues with my mail for several months, but it eventually got taken care of. All in all, I love staying here because the property is clean and decent for the rent they charge, plus my apartment is cute and cozy (I'm in love with my fireplace!). Thank you, Champion Oaks, for your hard work! It doesn't go unnoticed, and y'all are awesome ! Tell the owner I said to give y'all a raise ASAP because this property used to be 2/10, but has improved TREMENDOUSLY! 10/10 from this residentProperty Manager Responded

I got robbed
September 18, 2017My moved into this apartment and loved it until last Sunday (when I got robbed); I told manager about it and requested a termination of my contract because I don't feel safe in the property manager replied "You have to give 60 days notice. Worse place in this area
September 3, 2017Do not move here! The company is corrupt! First I received a letter that I'll be getting a good amount back from my deposit since I cleaned the place and spoke to the manager at the time about damages caused by water leaks and the renovating process. Everything was great until two months after I received the letter that they are adding cleaning costs and that I owe them money now! When I spoke to the manager she said she will fix it and when she attempted they fired her! I went back several times ...and they always said we will contact you but still 4 months later no result! Not sure why a big company would want to take from a single mother! I made sure I cleaned spend a whole day there after I moved out to make sure I leave the place the best way possible. October 1, 2015Well located. Friendly. Good layout and nicely appointed. We spent considerable time visiting and investigating all the properties we were interested in and settled on this one as the best choice. Having lived at our previous location for over 25 years; we feel we made an excellent decision moving into Champion Oaks.
