I am giving the property a 3 star, but I would give Jeanelle a 5 star since day 1!
As for property - tons of residents don't follow the trash valet rules or the pet rules. DON'T rent a unit near a stairwell - residents like to scream and talk very loud at all hours of the night right at your front door, they also allow their dogs to bark consistently right there also. The old manager, well let's just say he should have never been a manager! I could have legally gone after the company due to his
...negligence (but I am not that type of person)!! The new manager came on board just a bit ago...I do like that she has implemented the text notifications and I have started seeing a change in a couple areas, but unfortunately things fall on deaf ears sometimes too. Though she took over after a mess of a prior manager. Still waiting since day one for the gates to actually function correctly - i think in the 18 months of living there...the worked in total about a month, if that. I even offered to assist and gave them companies to go get bids to get it corrected and fixed. Both times moving into my new units, I had to clean them as the cleaning company they use is not the greatest and the units were "clean looking enough". When you supply the units with a trash can for valet service that you pay for whether or not you use it, I expect that trash can to be clean, but sadly it was disgusting. So much that I returned it to the leasing office and signed a paper stating why i was giving it to them and I wasn't cleaning it (I NEVER used the valet service).
Jeanelle from day one (lived there for almost 2 years) has been nothing but amazing! She listens to her residents, is friendly, but holds true to the rules of the complex and holds us to them as well. She cares about the community - complex and residents alike. She is always going above and beyond!!!
As I am an executive within the same industry - I understand the inner workings of the management side - so I am more aware of certain things that should be a standard norm.
