New Landscaping is terrific
April 7, 2025I've been living in Chateau Mirage since 2016, and it has been through several owners and many managers. But the current management has made significant changes that have all added significantly to the overall appearance and comfort of living in this gated community. Perhaps one of the most significant improvements recently is the complete renovation of the gardens. As a long-term resident, I remember when the gardens were initially lovely, and it's wonderful to see them revitalized. The new ...landscaping adds a refreshing and vibrant touch to the entire complex. I especially appreciate [mention a specific positive aspect you noticed, e.g., the variety of plants, the new seating areas, the overall design, the attention to detail]. It truly enhances the sense of community and makes the grounds much more enjoyable for everyone. While there's always room for continued improvement, this investment in the gardens is a significant step in the right direction, and I'm optimistic about the future of Chateau Mirage under the current management. It's encouraging to see these positive changes being implemented, and I look forward to seeing what other improvements they have planned.Property Manager Responded

Don’t do it
November 7, 2022WARNING EVERYONE IN ADVANCE!! Do not give these people your time! If you want to spend over $200 a month (for 3+ months) on electricity for a one bedroom because the property team will not fix your ac! This place by far has the worst service I’ve ever experienced. If you want your moneys worth and a good experience with helpful staff, this isn’t the place to live. They’re full of lies, excuses, and they only care about the money! I moved into an apartment that had an ac leak. Wasn’t aware of it ...until almost a month in when we noticed the ac temp kept on increasing. The maintenance man came in more than 10 times to charge the ac (not an exaggeration) over a span of about 3-6 months. He would give us the same excuse the front office gave us every time. Even though they knew it needed to be replaced the first time the guy came! The ladies in the front office were never professional about it and would never know what to say besides the same excuse they kept giving. Lie after another. They told us early on that we were on the list to get an ac installed. They weren’t helping and I was tired of living in a hot apartment. I reached out to corporate and by that time, I had nothing nice to say. The front office called me the next day saying corporate sent her my voicemail and that they would be coming install the new ac the following day. These people do not know how to run this property nor do they take care of their residents! I broke my lease and even though I went through all that I did, I still had to pay two months rent + a 30 day notice!!! So that’s $2600 I had to come out of pocket right then and there or we had to stay somewhere we weren’t happy! I reached out to corporate again and got IGNORED. Tried again, no reply! No one reached out to me. So I had no choice but to pay. I have wasted so much money and energy dealing with these people and their terrible service! And I’m not the only one. A neighbor called the office 3 days in a row because his washer was out and they didn’t do anything about it until he went to the office and told the lady something because he had enough. He moved! ALSO, THE ENTIRE TIME I LIVED THERE, I WAS IN AND OUT OF THE ER AND WALK IN DUE TO ALWAYS BEING SICK!! I got with an ent specialist and do not have any allergies! They told me it was the environment I was in! I have plenty of records. I don’t think I should’ve had to walk away from this having to come out of pocket $3550 because I wanted out due to various reasonsLeer MásReseña de Apartments.com
RUN, DO NOT RENT HERE
November 10, 2021RUN, DO NOT RENT HERE I am a current resident and this is one of the worst places I've lived. The old management was great but morgan properties is horrible. They do not answer the phone in the office and forget about going inside the office to actually talk to them in person. They hide inside the office with the doors locked and do not allow anyone inside. So if you ever need anything or need help with anything or have any questions forget it. There are bugs, wasps, bees, flys, gnats, ...snakes...everywhere outside and inside. The apartments are cheaply done and also rundown and NOT worth the money they charge for rent.Property Manager Responded

Don't judge a book by its cover!
April 13, 2021The place is beautifully landscaped, granite counter tops, a pool, a park, tennis and sand volleyball?! However, as you live here longer and longer, the cracks in the foundation are revealed. I've lived here since September 2018. The first three maintenance requests I made had to be called in again because the maintenance gentlemen did not fix the issue (wrong size air filters, incomplete caulking around bathtub, etc.) or couldn't fix the issue because they did not have the correct master key to ...my apartment. "We couldn't get into your apartment." Front office can be very helpful or very rude depending on who you get. They are not well trained whatsoever often telling you one thing and then telling you something completely different later. Property manager spoke over me when I tried to report a complaint about the property. Coronavirus and hurricane communications were handled very poorly. The residents were basically abandoned unless you had an emergency aka a fire or water leak. Amenities were off limits and there was no reduction in rent as a result. Rent was expected to be paid. No exceptions. No "contact us if you are having trouble". They just changed management, but the front office personnel hasn't changed. Be careful!Property Manager Responded

This is not an Apartment Complex, It is a Community
August 22, 2019The ENTIRE staff of Chateau Mirage is AMAZING. This community, both people and grounds, are the best and it was reflected this year when they won Best of the Best. That award is definitely earned. I felt at home the minute I step foot on the property as a tenant. The attached garages to each unit is a very rare amenity and I cannot express how much it benefits you. The complex is extremely secure as you have your garage, privacy locks, alarm systems, gated entry and the staff is always aware ...of the surroundings. I had very, very few maintenance requests because of the great upkeep of the property and homes but when I did, they were addressed the same day. Actually within 2 - 3 hours. The maintenance team is second to none. If you are looking for a home, this is the place you will want to be. April 11, 2017I have been living at Chateau Mirage for 5 years and it is home to me. Being that I live alone, I love having an attached garage to drive straight into- whether it is raining, or just late at night. It is in the perfect location because I feel like I am in the country, but I am just around the corner from the hottest spots in town. The staff and maintenance are very helpful whenever you need! There is a lot of grass area throughout, which is very nice because I have a lot of areas to be able to ...walk my dog. February 9, 2016Chateau mirage management, Here are a few suggestions: -make a anonymous (wolf whistle) account or something along the lines so residents can anonymously bring concerns to you. -everytime I go in the mail room im having to clean up after people, maybe start fining people living all their mail everywhere. - please make the gates shut all the way again, I shouldn't feel unsafe.Reseña de Apartments.com

February 8, 2016I have been living here for over a year now and overall its a pretty nice place to live, but with that being said there are a handful of problems i am tired of dealing with. First, I pay for a gated community so the fact that maintenance has made it so the gate doors don't shut and lock really is annoying and it makes me feel very unsafe at times. Next, I'm pretty positive my neighbor is a drug dealer considering every night he has different cars waiting outside for him to come chat for a few ...minutes and then they leave, EVERY NIGHT. Other than those main problems my neighbors yell and scream at night, my dog has no where to play since they have to be on a leash, and yea they have a business room and coffee and a movie area but its only during their hours.Leer MásReseña de Apartments.com

Chateau Mirage is surrounded by beautiful landscaping with breathtaking views of sunrises & sunsets. Chateau Mirage is the hands down best family community we have had the pleasure of living in. There are fantastic amenities ranging from the pool, fitness center, move theater room, tennis courts, playground & stocked ponds. August 13, 2015I would highly recommend this complex to everyone that is looking for a great place to live. This quiet gated community is so spacuois that you forget you are living in an apartment. They offer up to date appliances, huge walk in closets, washer and dryer, two car garage, two balconies and fireplace. Best Luxury Apartments in Lafayette, LA
July 29, 2015Many years ago, I swore I would NEVER live in an apartment ever again. In 2013, for many reasons, I began considering moving into an apartment but I had several requirements that had to be met. I began looking at apartments in Lafayette and could not believe what most of these communities charged for such horrible conditions and so few amenities. I actually visited what was supposed to be the 10 properties in Lafayette. After such a long process, it was obvious that only ONE place should have ...been considered top 10. And that was Chateau Mirage. When they say luxury apartment homes, they truly mean it. They offer several floor plans with spacious square footage. All of the homes are equipped with high quality amenities, like granite counter tops, separate garages for each apartment, walk-in closets, fireplaces, alarm systems, and much more. It is a beautiful lodge type gated community, with a great club house, theater, fitness center, tennis courts, sand volley ball, pool, pond and beautifully landscaped grounds. It is truly top notch, beautiful and safe. The management and staff are great and truly care about their residents.
