This really is a nice place to live, but...
March 13, 2026Edgewood Heights really is a great place to live overall, but there are a few issues that future residents should know about. When I first moved in, the complex had a very high-quality feel to it. However, once you start using the amenities and living there for a while, you begin to notice where things fall short. First, the indoor pool seems to get shut down frequently for cleaning. When I first moved in it felt like it was closed every other week. At one point management even had to send out a ...message reminding residents to shower before using the pool, which explains why it was being closed so often. Second, the arcade was actually one of the reasons I chose this complex. Unfortunately, about 20% of the machines had issues. Most of the games are free except one, but several machines didn’t work properly. Before I even moved in they had already created a rule that children under 13 couldn’t use the arcade without a parent present. Third, the weight rooms were disappointing. One of them is extremely small, and the other has machines that were frequently out of order. Fourth, the back side of the complex definitely has some residents who don’t respect the property. There are rules about smoking on the property, yet I constantly found cigarette butts scattered around. At the same time, marijuana smoking is treated as a major issue. Garbage around the property was also a recurring problem. Fifth, the complex uses trash valet service. One rule is that you’re not supposed to put loose garbage into the bins outside your door or you can get fined. The problem is that several times I came home from work and found that neighbors had put their loose garbage in my bin. Sixth, the walls are advertised as being thick, and it’s true that you usually can’t hear normal conversation from neighbors. However, that doesn’t stop you from hearing loud music when someone decides to blast it at 4 a.m., which isn’t great when you have to wake up early for work. Seventh, guest parking is very limited. Like many apartment complexes, finding parking for visitors can be frustrating. Eighth, the complex is gated, but the back gate seemed to break down constantly. It felt like it was out of service every other week. Finally, the arcade rules eventually had to change because of vandalism. Residents now have to rent the arcade out to use it. I’ve also come home several times on Friday or Saturday nights to find parties happening in the arcade area. The parties themselves aren’t the issueProperty Manager Responded

Great Apartments, even Better People!
January 26, 2025I have had the pleasure of living at Edgewood Heights since 2023, and it has been an exceptional experience. Charmaine, Melissa, Mike, and the entire team have been outstanding. Whenever I needed assistance, they addressed the issue promptly and efficiently. Regrettably, my job requires me to relocate; otherwise, I would have happily continued living here for many more years. Terrible Liars Using Bait & Switch Motives
September 9, 2024We thought this was a fantastic place to rent. We were so wrong. The employees lie, and the company advertised $350 moving incentive and one month free rent. They even called me to say my check for $350 was in the office for me to pick up but we were still living in SD but paying our rent for the unit. We told them we had not officially moved in yet so they said they would give it to us when we actually moved in. She also placed me on a brief hold to verify our unit qualified for the incentives. ...They then said when we checked that our unit did not qualify for this because it was an older unit. However, this was not on their Web site. They took down the move in incentives from their Web site shortly after I complained. When we inquired about moving out early and paying to do so we were told we could pay $2,100 to break our lease so we did this. And now they sent us a final bill adding an additional $2,500. These employees lie, lie, lie. Be careful.Property Manager Responded

DON'T BELIEVE THE HIGH/POSITIVE REVIEWS.
August 5, 2023In my 12 years of renting, this was the most frustrating apartment application experience ever. I've wasted almost two weeks and I'm set to move in a week. The rent special? A tactic to extract more money long-term. Don't be deceived by its small and private nature; their greed matches big corporations. Here's why you should reconsider: 1) **Greedy & Negligent**: With a 12-year rental history, they wanted an extra $400, making it $900, for not obtaining my rental verification. You shouldn't ...fetch your own rental history! 2) **Deceptive**: Twice, I was told my lease rate would be sent "by day's end". Days passed; no word. Without my constant calls, they'd have ignored me. It seems they're stalling to extract that additional deposit. 3) **Chaotic**: My original agent left, and they constantly shuffled me between agents. Each interaction felt like starting over, leaving me drained and frustrated. 4) **Inconsiderate**: Despite their mismanagement and unexpected charges, they won't refund my $200 reservation. Predictably disappointing. 5) **Outdated Procedures**: Their insistence on cashier's checks and money orders added undue stress. Their low-tech approach may also contribute to their inefficient handling of renter data. **In Summary**: An apartment causing this much distress at the outset? A 12-month contract isn’t worth it. Dig deeper into their reviews, and their true colors emerge.Property Manager Responded
