Application process was easy, she walked us through every step and stayed in communication. Beautiful apartment and a really pleasant experience. Terrible Management
August 17, 2023We lived here for almost 4 years and did reccomended it. In the last year, it's been awful! They allow as many cars per household as they want, threaten to tow unregistered cars, and never do. Packages get stolen when not delivered properly. December 11, 2020Sara, Sharroll, and Ron are nothing but wonderful. They are attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. The apartments themselves are nice and well taken care of. They do annual inspections so they can make sure everything is in working order and if you have any issues then they can address them then. Most of the time you can never get ahold of the management of apartments but Sara, Sharroll and Ron are different. I can text them questions and usually within minutes, I receive a response. Awful - buyer beware
September 28, 2020Don't move here - they will rip you off big time. It's cheaply made and they are sharks. Charged me 10.5 hours for move out cleaning - ridiculous. I barely lived in this apartment, cleaned all the unusual things and all that was left was basic move out cleaning. The worst part - I specifically asked to be present for the walk through and they denied me that. Then, after their outrageous report, I asked to have a 3rd party walk the unit right away - again - denied. All that matters is turning ...over the unit and stealing your deposit. They will not fix stuff either - I lived for almost 1 year with the roof outside my bedroom rattling viciously when there was anything more than a breeze. They did a walk through in Spring so they could fix stuff - never did. We had a drawer where the front popped off and nails were sticking out of it, had to use it that way for 8 months. December 10, 2020Hi Jennifer, Thank you for the review. You had messaged me after 4pm requesting the move out inspection the day you were departing. I was not available, but replied the next morning and offered for you to come back then so we could do the walk through at that time. You hadn't replied so I called you that afternoon and you said "it's all yours." I do not see that a maintenance request was submitted for the rattling. I am sorry that was a disturbance. Maintenance requests have been on hold due to the pandemic unless it is an emergency. We did refund nearly $700 of your deposit. I enjoyed having you all here.

Worst Experience Ever
January 7, 2020The management for this property was a terrible experience. Im In the traveling medical field so I travel quite often I’ve never had a bad experience with any housing at all. This apartment company is absolutely ridiculous. This is supposed to be a luxury apartment; upon move in there was paint scraped from the door entrance, the wood flooring was scratched up pretty bad, the carpet wasn’t clean at all. I took pictures the day I moved in just in case they tried to accuse me of prior damage. Yet, ...even after proof that damage was there prior they are still trying to accuse me of the damage. I was not giving a move in inspection nor checklist. If you would like to get a deposit back from this company you might have to get your attorney. Terrible experience.Property Manager Responded
January 19, 2020Thank you for the review Jacorey. We did shampoo the carpet prior to your moving in. We can share the details of that if you would like. We had move out inspections scheduled with you, but they were cancelled. We highly recommend conducting inspections with the resident so if there is pet damage discovered with the black light, the resident can see it. We were not able to re- rent the apartment with the amount of urine that was in the carpet. Therefore it had to be replaced. Kindly, Escena Management

We have our carpet vendor conduct carpet inspections each time a resident moves out with a pet. We shared the photos of the pet damage that was found causing the carpet to be replaced. I enjoyed having you reside here in two different apartments.

Bring your ear plugs
December 9, 2019Thank god my lease ended, I was finally able to move. This place is a joke. If you like overflowing trash areas, like smelling neighbors smoking cigarettes and weed, hearing people having sex below you or above your apartment, no insulation in the walls so you hear everything, traffic zooming by, hearing the new go kart race track across the street, college kids partying, residents not picking up after their pets, your wifi service being down for two weeks at a time, not enough parking, guests ...are not allowed to park on site, paying higher rent than they offer new tenant specials, then this is the place for you.Property Manager Responded
January 19, 2020Hello and thank you for the review. We have had intermittent issues with the dumpster overflowing even though the dumpsters get emptied three times a week. After putting up surveillance signs and further educating residents, this issue has gotten better. This is a non smoking community. When there is proof of an individual doing it, a fine is issued. If noises being heard are brought to our attention we address them. If we are not notified, we are unable to make the situation better. Although there is traffic on the Empire side, it does get the best sunlight. We are also able to issue fines for those not picking up their pets. These items were addressed in our 2020 newsletter and have improved. It has always been in the lease that on site parking is reserved for residents. Our concessions can vary daily depending on availability. We currently have a great team of staff members with around twenty years of experience in this business. We work to make this community the best ...possible daily.

Did you notify us of your smoking neighbor so we could address it? You will definitely hear more traffic noise on Empire versus the parking lot side. That side gets more sunlight however. Did you notify the office regarding those that were partying so we could address it? We issue non-compliance fees to those that do not pick up their pets waste. We have had intermittent internet issues in the past with conduit issues in a few apartments from build but those have since been resolved. Each resident does have one reserved carport. We do not allow guest parking in the lot as therefore our residents would not have a place to park. We enjoyed having you here.

One of the best properties in Bend!
September 8, 2018I am happy to have had the pleasure of renting at Escena and from Jewels, the property manager. She is the on site manager and every issue I’ve had has been promptly done. These apartments are probably some of the best in Bend. They aren’t a style you see often outside of a larger city. The floor plans are great and there’s plenty to do around the area. The overall quality is better than most that I’ve seen in Bend. From the tile countertops to the wood flooring in the kitchen, dining room, and ...bathrooms you can tell they went with higher quality in their building materials. Such a wonderful place to live!
September 4, 2018Management here is so helpful, and they really try to make you feel at home. We got an 3 bedroom 2 bath and the floor plan is so spacious. We absolutely love the fire place and the kitchen is spectacular! They are also a dog friendly community witch was a huge plus for our fur babies. This has been the best apartment experience we have had! I would recommend them to anyone!Property Manager Responded

Do not move here
September 2, 2018This apartment complex makes a lot of promises they can’t keep. Supposed to come with assigned parking.. never happened. Supposed to come with a gym and pool.. never happened. But are they going to reimburse for these things that we are paying for? Of course not. Also it is never cleaned.. the hallways, stairs and trash area is littered and swarming with flies. There is no where to walk your dog and no one cleans up after their pets and a high probability of that is the apartment complex supplies ...nothing as in dog bags or grass to walk our pets, it is supposed to be “dog friendly”. The noise is the worst. In the apartments you can here everything! All the other tenants and with closed in hallways it just amplify the noise. On every side of a apartment you can here other tenants. With a closed in hallway similar to a hotel you can hear the door open and close with a slam anytime someone leaves and hear every footstep down the metal stairs. The management that works and lives on the complex does nothing and just recommends finding your own solution. Everything broke when we moved in and they had to fix it but they do not fix anything anymore. The apartments were cheaply built and designed. If I could go back in time we would have found something else and can’t wait for the lease to be up. I highly recommend looking else where.Property Manager Responded

We've recently implemented parking passes so we know which vehicles belong. Our hallways and elevators are professionally cleaned bi weekly. We address pet and noise issues immediately if they arise. December 10, 2020Thank you for your review. Although I was not managing here when you were a resident, I would like to address some of the issues you experienced. The community was brand new when you moved in. We do currently have a gym and pool. Each apartment home does come with a reserved carport. Our maintenance supervisor picks up trash and replenishes dog waste bags when needed. We have adjusted the common area doors to prevent slamming. We strive to complete maintenance requests within 24 hours.

July 12, 2018The community here is clean. Upkeep is wonderful. The management is friendly and prompt. Any matters are resolved quickly and professionally. For a complex that is still under construction (visibly) the noise has been next to nothing during appropriate hours. The workers have been respectful of the residents. We're anxious for the indoor pool and gym opening soon! The rent is comparable to others in the area considering the newness of the complex, security, quality and location of beautiful Bend. ...Overall a great experience.Property Manager Responded

July 8, 2018DO NOT APPLY TO LIVE AT ESCENA APARTMENTS! We were told one week before our move-in day that an apartment would no longer be available. If you apply to live here, expect to pay for an apartment that they don't actually have.Property Manager Responded
