Deceiving leasing agents
January 30, 2025I was looking to rent an apartment from Governeour manor, so I jumped through all their hoops and tons of paperwork. They said they wanted half the deposit upfront before we got approved. I was told “no worries, it’s refundable if something comes up.” I ended up finding a way better apartment (Southfield Apartments, look them up if you need a good place!) so I told Governeour manor that I will drop by to pick up my deposit. They replied that “After approval, the deposit isn’t refundable.” I was ...not made aware of that crucial little detail. I was also off-put because the office ladies were very pushy and were super eager to get me to sign a lease right away. (They must make commission) I got bad vibes from them and it turns out I was right. They are very shady. I would not recommend these apartments.Property Manager Responded
January 31, 2025Hi! As discussed in your other reviews 1) You signed a document stating that you understood that if your application was approved and you did not move forward with the move in, the deposit would be forfeited. 2) You and your co-applicant stated that you wanted to move by the 1st so when you were approved on Tuesday you were asked which day this week you would like to sign your lease as Saturday is the first and we attempt to cater to the wants of our applicants that are within our control. 3) If you would like to discuss the policy regarding deposits, you can call our office between 10AM and 5PM Monday through Friday or contact our corporate office if you are not comfortable discussing it with our office staff. August 14, 2020This is where it’s at when all the other apartments I went to was acting funny I came here September 2019 the same day less in five minutes I was a proved its going on a year here no issues no complaints anything that I request or need when I get home from work the next day it’s already done and clean the way I left it I like the fact everything that I need is in this area from gas station grocery shopping and just regular shopping and of course Places to eat I love the fact that if you don’t ...have a key you can’t get in the main building great area great location I don’t plan on leaving unless I hit the lottery LOL with that being said the staff here is friendly nice and great they do all they can do To help with any needs they keep the property clean just as you see on their website hello stop on by come on in and get the keys to your new place.Leer MásReseña de Apartments.com

August 12, 2020After living here for a short while now, I am super impressed by the quality you get for such a reasonable price. My 2-bedroom is spacious enough for my little family, nothing looks very old or outdated. They even put in brand new carpet throughout before we moved in. We feel really safe here too since you have to have a key to get into your building. There’s a courtyard area I like to walk my dog around and a nice pool area as well, and you can tell they take pride in the grounds. The staff are ...so nice and easy to work with. Best Home Ever!
August 6, 2020These apartments are not only super affordable, but they are by far the best managed apartments I have ever lived in. At other apartments I've rarely seen or spoken to a property manager outside of moving in or moving out; here at Governeour Manor I see not only the manager, but the entire staff on nearly a daily basis. They are friendly and kind and will treat you like family. My apartment was so clean when I moved in...fresh paint, new carpet, updated appliances! I couldn't believe it. The ...pool is well taken care of as are the grounds in general, and the landscaping is on point. I love living here, and I know you will too! A great community

The safety I feel with the people around me is unquestionable. I feel very lucky to be here and to be surrounded by the goodness I have living here. Long Time Resident
January 23, 2019I have been a longtime resident of Governeour Manor Apartments. This community is more than an apartment complex it is my home. The staff takes pride in their work which is evident in the way the grounds are taken care of, quick fixes to any maintenance issues and the show of appreciation to the residents. With the recent snow and ice the maintenance staff were out and about early in the morning either removing snow or spreading ice melt ensuring our safety. The contests, barbeques, pool ...parties, community garage sales and other events for the residents confirm the commitment of the staff. They care about us, the residents. Because of the staff commitment I believe this also encourages the residents to be more mindful of their homes, and to watch out for each other.
