March 12, 2021 - Reseña de Apartments.comI absolutely love living here..it’s convenient to soo many places and there are also many places you can safely walk to if you want. Although the apartment is a little bit outdated, it is still very nice. I moved in December 2020 so I did get a better price compared to if you move at most other times of the year. The fact that there aren’t major upgrades keeps the price lower than some other places. For the location it’s in, it’s a really good deal. Each Apartment is going to vary slightly from ...another, one reviewer said their floors creaked. I have that problem but only the tiniest bit right by my closet in the master bedroom. You can also slightly hear the shower from the bathroom of your neighbor but it’s so faint it doesn’t bother me at all in general, this complex is very quiet, any noises I may hear are not loud or annoying enough to complain about...it’s an apartment, what do you except? I will admit I was a bit worried about moving in because it’s was during Covid and I couldn’t even see the apartment, plus a lot of work was being done I would normally never move into a place I couldn’t see. There must be a different staff than a few years ago because the staff was extremely nice and followed through with everything they said and even went beyond..they put all new carpets in, and even though the washer and dryer worked perfectly fine, they ordered us brand new ones before we moved in an they arrived about two weeks later. Any issue I have had has been attended to ASAP. The maintenance crew I have met so far have all been very nice and helpful. If you call during hours they come immediately and if you call after hours they call you first thing in the morning..my neighbors downstairs had a leak and apparently called at 2am, first thing the next morning I received a call saying maintenance would need to come check my pipes to see if the problem needed to be fixed from my apartment. Afterwards, the front desk always called to see if your problem has been resolved. I’ve had to call about five times, all little things, 3times I had to call to have my toilet seat replaced because it came loose..they came right up and put a new one one. Overall I am extremely satisfied living here. It’s also a very safe area. I definitely recommend Harbour Gates to anyone considering moving here. Bad value and unscrupulous leasing/management company

On first visiting Harbour Gates I was taken to a "sample apartment" to look at layout while the target apartment was being renovated. Liked it well enough but at signing time all of a sudden I was signing for the sample apartment and not the other apartment. Thought nothing of it and that maybe it would be helpful to be able to move in earlier. A few days after moving in I noticed a faded vandalism on the ...wall that said "RIP" but still wasn't particularly worried, never seriously considering it had anything to do with a death. Then some months in I started to notice that mail from the previous tenant was still coming in large quantities, including Social Security checks. I thought the two might be connected and was horrified to find after a simple Google search that the previous tenant (as IDed from all the mail) had killed himself in the apartment. The "RIP" writing on the wall was also presumably his and the leasing office had done the bare minimum to cover up the vandalism and moved me in two months later. I confronted the head leasing agent with these facts and they played dumb, not even recognizing the name of the previous tenant. I showed them the news article from the Washington Post online detailing the suicide and she went silent. I was horrified and wanted to leave 6 weeks ahead of my lease end time and even given the circumstances they held me rent responsible for 8 weeks!! I understand that by law a company does not have to disclose what happened in a housing unit before renting it to you but I would take Harbour Gates/Kay Management's actions here as forewarning. If one of your tenants is mentally ill enough to kill himself and vandalize the apartment and you slap a light coat of paint up and lease it out what does that say about how you value your tenants? And then after the next person foolish enough to lease with you gets wise you make him pay rent for 2 months after he hands his keys over while you probably are working on double-booking the place? The worst and most poorly ran Apartments I
May 19, 2017 - Reseña de Apartments.comI wouldn't recommend Horrible Gates Apartment to my worst enemy if I had one. There apartments are poorly constructed. Old windows that are so bad. During the winter months you can feel the cold air blowing right threw the window. So expect to pay $200 to $300 for your BGE bill. Paper thin walls you can hear your neighbors every move and conversations. Walls are so thin I can even hear my next door neighbor taking a shower and taking in there bathroom. Not to mention I can even hear the apartment ...under me them even talking in there apartment and even using the rest room. All of the appliances are from 1991 old and out dated. Plus the floors creak when you walk across your apartment. Maintenance people are rude and nasty they knock once and just burst into your apartment. The office staff are fake and 2 faced people they are extremely nice when you are signing your lease. But once you sign your lease they to forget that you even exist. When you have a problem or an issue they lie to you and say that they will call you and they dont. Then they will screw u at the end of lease. I do not recommend this place to anyone. There are alot better Apartments in and around Annapolis that are completely updated for $50 to $150 per month. It's worth the extra money if you want piece and quiet. Also Harbor Gates has fabricated all of there positive reviews. Do your research on apartments.com before you consider living at Harbor Gates. Theres page after page of negative reviews about there apartments. If i were anyone looking at Harbor Gates I would stay clear away from this place.Leer Más

August 14, 2015 - Reseña de Apartments.comI love living at Harbor Gates in Annapolis Maryland. Its about 30 minutes away from DC and Baltimore. It has an indoor outdoor pool and hot tub. It also has a free gym and Racquetball Court which i love. My apartment has a dish washer and washer and dryer which is really important to me after spending the last 6 years at the laundry mat. The maintenance and office staff are very friendly and always help me out right away. Downtown Annapolis is about 2 miles away. There is also every restaurant ...you can imagine right down the street. And oh ya WAWA IS IN WALKING DISTANCE!!!!!Leer Más

August 12, 2015 - Reseña de Apartments.comThe neighborhood is a really nice and calmed one. It's just 5 minutes away from Westfield Annapolis Mall and Anne Arundel Medical Center. When we moved here the staff greeted us and made sure we were confortable with everything in the apartment. The common areas such as the inside and the outside swimming and the gym are well maintained. There is a racquetball court in the gym which is so cool. So far it has been a great experience living here.
I love it here.

The grounds are beautifully maintained and any time I have needed maintenance it has been quick, competent and friendly. The rental office staff is extremely courteous and professional.

Free gym, free pool (inside and outside), place to wash your car, great location to downtown Annapolis (2miles). Also less than a mile from the Westgate mall and other fantastic shopping centers. Neighbors are really nice and parking is great...no fighting over a parking spot!

It is the perfect location and comes at a cheaper price than the same quality apartments down the street. The maintenance staff was pretty great at tending to our needs, however small. The only issue we had with our apartment is the washing machine broke, which after a couple attempts to fix it, they replaced it completely with a brand new one! The noise ...from apartment to apartment is okay... It truly depends on who you have above and below you. I could occasionally hear the washer and dryer above me, but that is nothing compared to other apartments I have lived in where you can hear others conversations through the walls. Kitchens are a nice size and the room space is awesome (again for an apartment in Annapolis this is the best living space for the price). The gym and the pool are great, the staff is awesome and helpful. Overall this was a great place to live and if I could stay, I definitely would!Leer Más

Nothing is updated at all. the repairs made when something goes wrong is sup par to say the least. For example, our toilet wasnt level and the apartment repairman stuck some wood chips under one side of it to fix it. The pipes in the ceiling burst and they wouldnt replace the carpet after it had been soaked through because they said it was "clean water" that ...came through the ceiling. If its location you want, this is a good place, but if its about getting what youre paying for that you want, this place isnt for you.Leer Más
