Absolutely Horrible
February 14, 2021My wife and I lived here for one year and regretted it soon after moving in. Roaches, mice, infestations. Maintenance rarely does any work (that is, what you need them to do - maintenance requests). There is rarely ever anyone available to speak with at their office; most contact is made over email and don't expect a response immediately. The heat pours out and makes it unbearably uncomfortable. In the building we were living in, the police were there regularly due to 'issues' with other ...tenants (not exactly what we wanted to live around). Not worth the price
September 1, 2019These apartments look nice but they are not worth the monthly rent which increased each year. You can not control your own heat which you also pay for. Also there is a family on the Second floor of Building P who terrorizes the complex. The mother overdosed several times as well. Only.live here as a last resort.Reseña de Apartments.com
Read your Lease CAREFULLY!!!
July 2, 2018You do not have control over the heat in your apartment! They decide when the radiators get turned on and off. And they decide the temperature in the apartments. BUT, you get a bill for the gas. If there are vacant apartments in your building, your bill will be higher (even though they tell you it's not). They also don't take any responsibility for the gas bill and push it off on the gas supplier. Pay attention!!! Read your lease CAREFULLY!! Worst Experience
September 9, 2017I moved into Jenkintown Gardens in April 2015. As a single parent on a budget I thought it was a great opportunity to get my child into a good school district and save a little. The rent was under $800 at the time. In the two years I have been here I have dealt with a multitude of problems. The apartment had a leaky toilet that took them two weeks to fix and when they did they left my bathroom a mess with a gray smudge that was also wiped across my front door. Then my windows we're missing ...screens yet when they came to install them when I wasn't home the men decided to smoke in my apartment. Then I had a wet ceiling that began to smell due to a leak in the apartment above me and it took them almost a month to fix. Then my stove caught fire due to bad electrical work and I was without a stove for three weeks. No one from the property was concerned about us and no one checked on us nor was I reimbursed for the inconvenience it caused me. Lastly, and this is on going I have mice in my ceiling and they have yet to eradicate the problem. When I call the main office they simply say everyone calls about the mice all day long. They say they will send someone but the guy works on his own time so you spend the whole day waiting as if you have nothing better to do. And sometimes he doesn't show up at all. I am currently looking for a new apartment that is "by owner" this was my first and last time renting from a corporate owned property. I would never recommend this property to anyone. Having to hear your neighbors thru paper thin walls and having them smoke in hallways and having a spider and ant infestation is something no one should ever deal with especially with annual rent increases.Leer MásReseña de Apartments.com
Praying to Stay in Jenkintown Garden Apartments
September 12, 2015In April 2014, I and my three children (7, 6, 1)moved into the Jenkintown Garden Apartments. The apartment had been newly renovated. The rich dark hardwood floors shine. The kitchen is decked out with stainless steel appliances. The bedrooms are the right size for our needs. The windows throughout are great with lots of cross breezes throughout the whole apartment. Great Location
August 13, 2015I'm a single mother of three and it's been a struggle. I love the location of this apartment because I've grown up on this area and gone to the neighborhood schools and now I am able to raise my children in the same area. Everything is convenient here, the libraries, grocery stores, doctor offices, schools, shopping/restaurants. This is a beautiful area. The apartments are nice and the people who manage it are kind and helpful. I find that really great. My building is quiet and there are lots of ...other children who play outside. I myself like to lay out on a blanket under the shady tree I. The grass in the middle of our parking circle. Its so relaxing.
