    The location of Lakecrest is great, but the on-site staff is arrogant and rude. There are frequent water outages and broken laundry equipment, and if your A/C quits during a heat wave, prepare to suffer long-term without so much as an apology. Rent goes up every year as the building conditions decline.

    PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. MOVING HERE WAS SUCH A WASTE OF MONEY. Washer and dryers don’t work half the time leaking cellings so don’t be surprised if u see half a Cellini tile on the floor in the hallway due to constant leakage. I needed a new fridge half way through my lease and they left the old on in there. Imagine spending hours to clean the apartment for move out and and they still charge u for the stuff you already cleaned. Repainting of the walls which never needed ...
    repainting because u hardly even stayed there and never decorated. I paid not only the 1200 lease break fee and then they decided to take another 600$ for cleaning fees on an apartment u already cleaned. Please be careful and remember to take tons a pic and evidence when leaving

    The rent goes up yearly despite no improvements and always has something falling apart, not to mention how they treat their tenants. I’ve been renting with them since 2019 and every time I’ve had a maintenance problem they wake me up. The last one who had to repair my bathroom ceiling didn’t even do a good job and also snooped into my bedroom while thinking no one was home. He said he was “looking for the bathroom” when it’s a 2 bedroom apt (aka easy to find). Unless you’re willing to deal with ...

    Moved in back in the spring and I've been amazed at how kind and sweet all the staff is here on property to all the kids who live here. Since the school started I've notice that the maintenance staff, especially Colin, will take time to stop and talk to the kids waiting for the bus, give them high fives, and tell them to have a good day on their way into work. It's so nice to see.

    Things to know before moving in, If you turn off the Air Conditioning and close the windows in the winter, it gets up over 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The Model apartment is NOT like the actual apartments, the actual apartments are falling apart, dirty, and very outdated. If you like cooking in or on a stove, forget it because they give you a less than half sized oven. They will not do anything about noise complaints or secondhand smoke (cigarettes or otherwise) so do not bother asking. They do not ...
    take care of the landscaping outside. The parking lot is falling apart. The outside doors are propped open often so people can just walk right in. There are only 2 washers and 2 dryers per building. There are 84 apartments in each building by the way. Overall, if you have not signed the lease yet, do not do it.

    I have been living in the Lakeshore complex for about a month now. I am impressed with the community and how safe it feels here. It is great to be right across from the lake! We have a yellow lab and Lakecrest is extremely accommodating when considering weight limits and breed restrictions as we have had no problems here. The office also tries to put together community events and even a pet day during the month! A couple negatives are that package delivery can be difficult to follow here because ...
    buzzers don’t work and we obviously don’t want packages just lying around. Another (through no fault of the office) is that people in the lakeshore community tend to allow their dogs off leashes and don’t pick up after their pets. Although other dogs may listen and cooperate, doesn’t mean mine will be as friendly since he is nervous around new people and dogs. Other than that we have really enjoyed staying here!

    After living in different areas of Michigan and the country for that matter, this has been one of the best places I have lived. Is it perfect? What is? Yet, when I need something they ALWAYS take care of my family and me to the point where they enforce all the rules. Yes, to load your laundry card you have to go the main complex which is 2 minutes driving or 7 minutes walking if you walk slow. We have been here for 3 years and it is peaceful. The new management is so much better than the last. ...
    For as many emails as I get from them, it shows that they care because things I have requested have happened in due time, the key is patience which not everyone seems to have anymore. If you are patient with them they truly take care of you. I even got a bathroom remodeled. The maintenance crew has been consistent with no staffing changes recently. They fix so many things and understand that these buildings are old so previous crews put minimal effort so this maintenance crew has not only to repair the mistakes of the past but also make them last as best as they can with what they are working with. The management also makes sure to take complaints seriously especially if it is a violation of policy such as smoking in the building. For being literally across the street from Lake Michigan, having beautiful sunsets, peace and quiet, good neighbors, gas, and water included at a super fraction of the actual usage (especially during polar vortex situations), having 24hr emergency maintenance, a nice pool, and access to other things, the price is perfect. A great place for families.
