When I initially moved in, I was happy. In the last 7 months, my opinion has changed greatly. The manager is not on her A game, ever. Actually, true. If she doesn't like you, she will find a way within her means to build some sort of paper trail to make you look like a bad resident. Anyhow, details, she gave my key to a vendor w/out giving proper notice to enter and they did not only enter, but told me they needed to check my personal property, i.e. matressesand dresser drawers. She rescheduled
...an inspection (my yound adult daughter did not feel comfortable letting them in the first time and did not thing we had been given proper notice) and never showed up. Service requests aren't completed, but she has the excuse that they were never received. Even safety issues! I didn't have a front door knob for well over a week and even now do not have a key to the door knob only the dead bolt. I almost forgot... threatening final notice handed out, which also happened to be the first notice received.
Now, lets go into community issues. It appears there was a shooting of some sort within the last week with a child injured on the property, but no notices have gone out. They tow vehicles without following proper towing laws and won't return a phone call. Every weekend is a party here, with no regard to a tenants right of peaceful enjoyment. Rent is raised mid lease with out proper service. The manager is rarely seen. Phone messages are not returned and if your apartment has pest, do not expect management to handle it. My neighbors waited months to have a rodent issue handled. I believe there are laws about that, but that holds no relevance, right?! I came out of pocket for an ant issue that was reported directly to the manager and not addressed.
What prompts my complaint? I finally called in a service request only to be treated as if I was a problem. Maybe I am. I do not give them permission to enter. The manager insinuated that I am a liar and treated me as if I were lesser than a human being. She was quick to try to point a finger at my daughter, but unwilling to take any responsiblity for her failure to handle simple tasks. She is not customer service focussed at all!! Acts more tyrannicle than anything and its a darn shame. Never a simple apology, always an excuse delivered with an arrogance and demeaning, accusing tone. Point being, the rent amount makes sense, but beware. If you have issues, report it to their corporate office, Beacon Properties.
