A Warm and Welcoming Lakeside Community

From the day we opened, our goal has been to create more than just a place to live--we wanted to create a place where residents feel comfortable, connected, and truly at home. One of the most special parts of Lofts by the Lake is the strong sense of community among our residents. Through monthly events and everyday interactions, neighbors have had the opportunity to connect, build friendships, and enjoy a ...welcoming atmosphere. The property offers so many beautiful spaces to enjoy, including lake views, fire pits, a fireplace, grilling areas, a wood-fired pizza oven, porch swings, outdoor dining areas, a swimming pool, fitness room, dog washroom, and peaceful indoor and outdoor gathering spaces. The rooftop patio, with views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Apalache Lake, is one of our favorite places on the property. Lofts by the Lake is a beautiful historic old mill with so much character, and we are grateful to see it filled with residents who bring warmth and life to the community. May 13, 2025 - Reseña de Apartments.comAs a 51-year-old woman seeking a peaceful home, I rented a 1 bedroom Unit at Lofts by the Lake. Unfortunately, StoneMark Management’s actions turned my once peaceful stay into a nightmare. Before my lease even ended, their staff entered my apartment and removed all my remaining personal belongings, weeks before my lease ended! They claimed I authorized this because they entered my apartment and saw my keys on the counter. Also, for nearly two months, the freezer in my apartment was ...non-functional despite my repeated maintenance requests. I contacted them right away through phone, their onsite app, and text messages and not one management staff got back to me to finally come and replace my fridge. I was left without a unit for a total of almost two months. I contacted StoneMark, including their manager Evita, for weeks, but they ignored my calls, and dismissed my claims. Ben, who was the previous onsite manager (and who I adored) had left recently and it has gone downhill ever since, with no consistency or care for the remaining. Their negligence cost me thousands of dollars and immense stress. Some of the other tenants have shared similar frustrations on our community app and with me personally, noting the property’s decline due to their lack of management. I urge the owner to investigate StoneMark’s practices to restore the property’s integrity and prevent others from enduring this treatment. I’m open to discussing a fair resolution to recover all my losses but so far, all management admits to is coming in to my apartment and breaking my lease, admitting fault, yet will not cover my losses. I am unfortunately feeling the need to write this to help others and save them the stress that is now happening at Lofts by the Lake.Leer Más

Loft living at it's finest
November 3, 2019 - Reseña de Apartments.comWe have lived here since day one, and could not be happier! As with ANY newly constructed property, you will often experience some kinks that have to be worked out, and in addition, how many of you have bought shoes without trying them on, and had a perfect fit? Yeah, me neither...happens like that when hiring employees as well...you have to find the right fit! We are loving the awesome amenities here, like the swimming pool, multiple outdoor grilling areas, outdoor fireplace, firepits, woodfired ...outdoor pizza oven, floating docks, fitness center, community room and dog wash! We look forward to the opening of the new coffee bar as well! My favorite part of living here at Lofts by the Lake, is the fellowship! There is always something fun going on here if you want to get to know your neighbors. We've had pizza demonstrations, a pig roast, wine and cheese events, holiday parties, and so much more! It's always a good time at the firepit with our neighbors! Did I mention the kayaking and the fishing? Love a quiet place to sit and relax? Lofts by the Lake has that too. Bring your hammock and tie up to a tree lakeside, or enjoy swinging under the wisteria covered pergola on one of the porch swings. Grab a chair and have a seat on one of the floating docks, or just take a quiet stroll around the gated community. You won't find any lake front loft like this in Greenville, because there are none! WAS a great place to live

Ongoing construction, incomplete amenities, sound issues, high turnover with leasing agents (3 different individuals during my 13 months there), etc. all added to the frustration of living there. Do yourself a favor and compare their prices (total monthly cost, not advertised rental rate) to other communities in Greer (and even in downtown Greenville for ...that matter), and you'll see you can a lot of money or live in a downtown area for same price point.Leer Más
Comfortable Living

It has been nothing but joyful getting to know everyone and being part of a community that cares. Bringing back the life to an over 130 year old structure has added beauty to this old mill village area. The surrounding neighbors have been a delight as well. If you want to be part of a family then Lofts by the Lake is a great start.
Very disappointed
March 26, 2019 - Reseña de Apartments.comWe have lived here now for almost three months and four radon tests later, we learn the owner is satisfied with an average 3.2 (must have been the best out of four)exposure because EPA says he doesn't have to mitigate unless over 4.0, even DHEC recommends 2.0 or less. Yet several readings were in excess of 4.0 and each one of us have suffered bronchial infections in the last sixty days. Mortar continues to fall from the brick wall interior side, moisture puddles at windows and they used a low ...quality matte finish on the walls, so any attempt at clean up results in removing the paint. Oh and was informed after move in that the construction crew forgot to put sound proofing between the dwellings, so any and all noise generated from ones restroom, kitchen or bedroom is celebrated next door. I am now having to move my family out to prevent any more damage to our health and will lose pet fees, deposits, mover fees and whatever else they deem necessary as I paid six months in advance. March 28, 2019We at the Lofts by the Lake are very proud to bring the Apalache Mill back to life. The building was built in 1888, the oldest textile mill in the Upstate. A building that is over 130 years old will always have problems with aging. Spartanburg County has moderately high levels of radon, and some areas of Spartanburg County has high levels of radon. We are very concerned about our residents, therefore we tested the building and where needed added active radon mitigation systems. Also follow up testing was done to ensure levels are below EPA recommendations of no more than 4 pCi/L of radon, per DHEC website. Unfortunately the general construction company omitted critical elements of the sound control. This issue is being addressed and will be resolved. Most residents understand in new construction there are items which need to be address.
