I've lived here since they were still under construction for opening. First of all, I moved from another state and during that process they never stated that the property was still under construction, just dodged questions regarding amenities. If you live in building one or two, all amenities and your mail is down the block and across the street. It's really inconvenient to live in one of these, another thing that was not disclosed.
In my time living here, my upstairs neighbor shot a gun through
...my ceiling in the middle of the night. The leasing office responded to this terribly. They allowed the residents above us to remain on the premises for over a month, still living above us. We did not receive a discount on our rent, we did not even receive a follow up. They pretty much told us sorry, but we won't be doing anything for you.
Additionally, we had a problem with the water in our bathroom sink SMELLING the entire time we lived in that particular unit. We downgraded to a one bedroom after the shooting situation (all fees paid, no compensation) and it has been slightly better, aside from the new, extremely rude leasing office staff. Hopefully, you never have to directly interact with Melanie.
We cannot wait to move. Our next apartment is in a prime location between uptown/south end, and the rent is far more reasonable for the quality of the complex. Believe the reviews that say there is dog poop everywhere, and trash in all the UNFINISHED hallways. We've been walking through clumps of dead bugs and worms in the first floor hallway since last summer. Best of luck to those of you who choose to call this place a "home."
