I recommend people to NEVER SIGN WITH THEM!
I paid my security deposit in full and completed my application at Madrone. I received several emails congratulating me on my move-in, which clearly specified my apartment unit, my parking spot, my mailbox, and move-in date. I gave my current landlord my 30-day notice. AND 12 DAYS BEFORE THE MOVE-IN, Madrone arbitrarily CANCELLED our agreement, telling us that they will be renewing the contract with the current tenants. During the process of visiting
...the property, submitting an application and processing the payments, they never mentioned anything about the current tenant issue.
Now, I have less than 20 days to find a new place to live.
Also, in this process, they did not reach out to us to let us know the cancellation. For more than a week, they never picked up my calls, ignored 2 voicemails, and FB messages. After avoiding my calls for hundreds of times, only when I reached them through a different phone number, did they CASUALLY mention that they are canceling our lease.
I believe that the most important thing to consider when choosing an apartment is how well the apartment is managed. Clearly, their handling of our application was very unprofessional and they were not responding at all. And I don't think this was my unique experience. Max of 3. All pets must be approved by Management in advance of move in. Up to three pets max are allowed per home, subject to stricter local or state conditions. An additional deposit and additional monthly charge are required for each pet.
