New front office personnel are making a difference

Analyze this property prior to choosing
September 21, 2021This review is in regards to Mesquite Village Apartments in Mesquite, Texas. I’m a current resident at this property and lived at this property a little over a year. I’m writing this review as an advocate for renters that live in this community. In addition, I hope that this review sheds light for consumers in the market looking for resident that who may become blindsided by photo shopped advertisement or misrepresentation during a visit. Mesquite Village Apartments, in Mesquite Texas, are ...conveniently located close to interstate 635 and highway 80. They provide quick access to shopping, activities and only a short distance to downtown Dallas. It’s an affordable community for individuals, like myself, starting over. However, the property does consist of many hidden truths…….. issues such as, maintenance not addressing orders in a timely manner and closing maintenance tickets without completing jobs. In addition, many reported issues go without being addressed in a timely manner. Example: my current AC unit was installed with a drip pan that was too small causing a leak that I’ve had several months. After submitting my 3rd request, my unit has gone 3 weeks without being fixed. This issue proceeds multiple maintenance tickets that were submitted over the year with the same results. Another area that contributes, to the 1 star rating, is office management. From several interactions with the team, I’ve witnessed a lack of urgency for renters concerns, the team not being available during normal business hours ( answering machine answers most calls, with no return after messages are left) and overall displaying limited professionalism. Hayman Property is the current management team overseeing this property. When reaching out with concerns to the regional, MR. R.S, I noticed the same cadence as the on-site Mesquite Village Management Team. Therefore, Hayman Management Company has 1 rating, as well! Mesquite Village is affordable and has a great location. Consumers, do your research first before considering this property! Take the time to observe the property grounds in the evenings, at night and weekends to avoid shallow representation, analyze all reviews listed for this property on all sites, read reviews about the management companies overseeing that local property my and speak to local residents living on campus for adequate judgment.Property Manager Responded

WORSE PLACE TO LIVE

January 17, 2019Horrible office staff, I am a current resident and ready to move out. Current shooting occurred, crazy people. There cars being burglarized and office does not care, says it’s not their problem. Have issues with maintained, when I first moved in apartment was so dirty! March 19, 2018I moved in last week and I am delighted! This is the quietest complex I have ever lived in. Everything works and the overall feel is luxurious. You can find cheaper, but you will get just that-cheap. I recommend that you pay a little more and move here!Reseña de Apartments.com

Terrible experience
April 2, 2016I had an electrical issue in my apartment that was VERY unsafe. It took 6 months to get the issue fixed. I had to request multiple times. Ultimately, the only way and reason it got fixed was because I contacted the management company and sent a certified letter. Also- despite the fact that they charge a monthly fee for pest control, I constantly see cock roaches and other such disgusting bugs. Water bill seems extremely high for a 1 bedroom apartment (60 bucks). Also, the residents are ...really rude as far as driving in the parking Lot. It is Noisy as Well.Leer MásReseña de Apartments.com
Renter be aware
December 19, 2015Renter be aware. They lied about the condition of the apartment upon my exit. I left it clean but they charged me a $60 cleaning fee plus almost $300 for supposely ruining their floor. They showed me pictures of a dirty apartment stating it was mine. I LEFT THAT APARTMENT CLEAN. They used regular wear and tear of over a year of good paying tenancy as an excuse to force me to pay for the upgrade. No wander the lady is usually in court. September 23, 2015These apartments are very nice just expensive, I had to have a co sighner . i am on disability you have to make 3 times the rent but i am across the street from the mall . down the street from grocery stores variety. all kinds of resturants anything you can imagine within 4 minutes some even 2 minutes. very nice places. and a different direction 3 minutes from the two high school and about 4 from elementary schools all kinds of apts around. the office ladies and management and maintence really ...make the apartment great. they really care about their tenants and the maintence get it right the first time i love every one and know all of them that is how friendly they are most they are nice until you get in then they are rude . but not here i could just use a bigger apt so i can have my own bedroom i am in a one bedroom and my son has that but that is all i can do been here 3 yrs . but this might have to be my last rent is just to high for me being on disability, it is hard to rent anywhere . I just do not qualify because of three times the rent . and it is really hard to find a cosighner that will do that for you not these days. it is really a nice place to live very clean and they keep it that way really quiet no violence or anything . the grounds are kept very clean and you put something out side your apt and it stays there no one will bother it . animals are welcome too. they have two pretty good size pools and a hot tub in one. you have to come and see to believe but really have to live here to feel what i am telling you is the truth not just for a contest. thank you beverly compton....Leer MásReseña de Apartments.com

July 21, 2015I have lived here going on 3 yrs and i have to say yes they are old but well kept up . the grounds are very nice and very well kept and the trees are very nice and trimmed at all times. but to tell the truth it is not the apartment buildings it is the people who run the complex the ladies in the office the manager included they are so sweet not just one of them but all three of them and to me that makes all the difference the world . they treat you with respect and i really cannot afford to stay ...another yr but i had no other place to go and you have to make 3 times the rent and i do not understand that because the people on disability really cannot afford it because we do not make that much period to live on. I do not know what i am going to do after this yr. i have had a cosighner but i do not know if they will continue to help. but i am thank ful for thier help. but some how some one has to stop this 3 times the rent.Leer MásReseña de Apartments.com
