Not a lot of bang for you buck
June 29, 2024The photos are very misleading to the exterior and interior of these apartments. The inside of the apartments are very cheaply made with very poor lighting as well. The walls are thin and you can hear when your neighbors are having an argument. For the price you’ll be paying the outside does not reflect it at all, the apartments look dingy and worn down - it doesn’t look like they’ve had any fresh paint in years (they didn’t put any photos outside of the apartments for a reason). Additionally, ...homeless people are constantly walking by the apartments, parked cars, and are dumpster diving. For the price of the apartments I’ve come to find it’s just not worth it. There are plenty apartments for the same price that have better buildings with more safety.Property Manager Responded

Live Somewhere Else!
February 18, 2023LIVE ANYWHERE ELSE. Quick version: dishonest and unresponsive management, stolen security deposit, and no regard for residents' health. Our neighbors would play music so loud that it would shake our walls and disturb my partner's video calls they had to make for work. When we reported that this was an everyday occurrence and needed to be addressed asap, management was unwilling to enforce the signed lease with these people. Additionally, these same neighbors would smoke both weed and cigarettes ...inside their apartment. This would not only cause the area outside their door (just a foot from ours) to smell like an ashtray, but it would also seep into our own entryway even when we had our door closed all day. Worse still, by some quirk of the HVAC system, our bathroom was somehow connected to our neighbors next door. So anytime they smoked, our entire bathroom would smell strongly of cigarettes and weed. To counteract this, we had to keep our bathroom light/fan running round the clock, increasing our own energy bill just to not have our bathroom stink! Now, Miramonte claims to care about their resident's health and provide a non-smoking policy in the lease. This was important to us as my partner has severe asthma. We complained to the apartment complex countless times, even emailing them specific times and dates as they requested, but no action was taken aside from a little "no smoking" note on every door in our building. Finally, when we got really upset, management told us that they would do a walkthrough of our neighbor's apartment. They assured us this and yet it never happened. Dishonest, careless, and largely unresponsive management. This went on for months with no change or action from the apartment complex although they assured us, "we have taken steps to address your concerns, but we cannot tell you what they are." Okay. Finally, we move out and expect to receive our deposit back since we thoroughly cleaned the apartment and left it in great condition. However, management decided to charge us the maximum cleaning fee and claim damages to the residence. Both of these charges WOULD have been covered by the deposit (as that is what the security deposit should be used for), but when we got our final move out statement, we found that management used our deposit for utility bill backs that amounted to $250 (we are a two-person household).Property Manager Responded

Renter BEWARE!!!!
November 16, 2022We called Miramounte home for the past 3 years. RENTER BEWARE!!! The positive aspect are the distance from the main road. We have had many issues with homeless always in dumpsters and the breakin every few weeks. They just replaced the lights that were burnt out most of our residents. The howling dogs and the dog poop you will step in makes a lovely environment. One lady screaming profanities for off and on 6 months. The cops would come but she would be back the next evening she finally relocated ...after months of unrest. We had a dented want for over 6 months. The parking spots while close will scrap your car. It’s not a if but when you or your neighbors will scrape your car. The office is fake nice and oblivious. We reported a water leak that was spewing water for over a week. They claimed it was due to pressure washing and then they shut down the entire water system after telling us we were lying and crazy with photos evidence. They have so many hidden fees and are never honest about prices or utilities upfront. They were closed off and on all during Covid and really are in it for the money to push out the old and up charge out the wazzo for the new tenants. The rent went up 500+ for some in less than 3 years. They always have changing staff and maintenance workers. Truly save yourself the trouble. Most will say watch out unless you are elderly locked in you apartment with little to no needs, this is not the place for you. Truely they received 5 stars from new tenants and they offer gift card to tenants in exchange for reviews. Ask a few residents before you are trapped in a place you don’t really want to liveProperty Manager Responded

June 15, 2022I am really unhappy about not being able to use my fireplace all winter. I pay for that amenity (NO - it is not only square footage that determines the rental rate!)
