Very safe feeling as well, one way in one way out. The community landscape is tended wonderfully, truly a visually pleasing area compared to other communities. People do clean up after their pets, of which there are countless. The new maintenance guy is great! Danny is super thorough, responsive, and most of all satisfactory. He will treat your unit like it is ...his own home. Shamco definitely found the right person for the job. Trash removal contract does need a tune up, overflow is currently too frequent. Believe they have two 20 yarders for trash and maybe one 10-15 yarder for recycling? Either way, they could use one 40 yard roll off and one 10 yard overflow for trash, and just a 20 yard for recycling. Glass overflow gets a little dangerous.Leer Más
Renter Beware
March 11, 2026 - Reseña de Apartments.com“Renter Beware” If you are thinking about spending your hard-earned money, please think long and hard before renting in Morris Crossing in Morristown, NJ. The on-site property management, as well as corporate policies are deplorably ineffectual. Should you decide to move here, the following is what you will have to endure on a daily basis: Constant overwhelming trash pileup. Shamco refuses to pay for larger dumpsters or pay for Morris Crossing to pick up twice a week. So, trash piles up with ...rodents feasting on it. Dog waste which is littered all over the community because Shamco simply does not enforce the rules. If you have a Doggie – no doubt you will step in someone else’s dog waste – on a daily basis. Mice/rodent Infestation which has been ongoing because Shamco does ABSOLUTELY nothing to clean up the trash and dog waste. The inevitable result is that the vermin have now found their way into the dwellings. Several people have moved out because of the rodents that seem to be overwhelming the community. Poor illumination at night because Shamco refuses to install proper lighting to make the community safe. While vacant apartments have all lights burning all day and night, there is no clear exterior illumination for the tenants who find themselves outdoors at night. Shamco refuses to install cameras on the property. Subsequently, there is no way to identify the perpetrators of rampant illegal dumping or those tenants (and non residents) who do not pick up their dog waste. So these problems remain unresolved, and needless to say, the safety of residents is continually at risk. Shamco does not hire professional plumbers or maintenance people; their solution to tenants with any kind of issue is to just have an unqualified handyman do the work, resulting in improper repairs. Ignoring issues. If providing tenant support requires Shamco to spend money, quite often they will just ignore the tenants' issues. Shamco will raise your rent, but there is no resultant proper management or maintenance for the neighborhood. It is not cheap to live here, but don't expect that your rent to provide for proper and timely maintenance and management of this community. And if you would like a Flat Tire or a Sprained Ankle just walk through the Parking Lot. They advertise themselves as a luxury community but that is an empty promise. If you move here, do not expect value for your money, safety, proper management or care. Shame on Shamco!Leer Más
Love the neighborhood
August 21, 2025 - Reseña de Apartments.comI have lived here for 1 1/2 years and I love it here. Maintenance responds quickly and everyone is very nice. The apartments inside are very nice. The outside of the buildings could use some cleaning (power washing) to make them look more inviting. But on the whole it is a very quaint neighborhood.
Looks are indeed deceiving

Unfortunately, the walls/ceilings are incredibly thin. You can hear every little thing from all sides and if your neighbors aren't so neighborly, tough luck. I wish I could give a better review, but the noise makes it tough to live peacefully.

The property manager, Maria knows this place very well, is very responsive and takes care of it like it was her own. She knows all the tenants and goes above and beyond to meet everyone's needs. Love the location because it's tucked away for quite living but close enough to highways, shopping and the train station.
Great neighborhood close to downtown Morristown!

Plenty of street parking in addition to multiple parking lots. The property was recently upgraded by adding a Fitness Center and outdoor Grill area, in addition to being pet friendly. Property Management is very responsive and helpful (thanks Maria!). I would recommend living here.
A great place to live
January 1, 2021 - Reseña de Apartments.comThis quaint pretty neighborhood is certainly welcoming upon sight. It’s located in a safe, quiet part of town. Parking as mentioned below can be a bit of a pain, however it isn’t enough to really bother me personally. The maitenence comes with decent time after calling, but my concern is the lighting - it gets VERY dark here at night and while it is safe it definitely should be lit better. Aside from that, neighbors are nice and welcoming and it’s a great place to be.

March 16, 2020 - Reseña de Apartments.comMorris Crossing certainly looks like a quaint neighborhood...and it is a bit of that. It's quiet for one - makes a great appearance from the outside BUT there are quite a few downsides. I recently left, with new management/ownership ( a frequent occurrence during the many years I was there) - the old reviews for maintenance, yes that was the case quite a few years ago. Parking is HORRENDOUS. Street parking is filled by 5pm during the week and forget about weekends (how that is possible is beyond ...me), the 2 back parking lots fill by 8pm - I swear, people are afraid to leave as there simply is NO parking to return (unless you want to park ALL the way down by 202 right near Alfred Vail school - YES, many do, especially at night). NOT to mention this is a public road, not private, which means the cops patrol is FREQUENTLY, mind you, this isn't to keep you safe but to dispense tickets, which also happens frequently (if you're too far off the curb or if you were desperate enough to park over the lines in the parking lot) and even worse is that being it's a public road, it's pretty much ignored when it snows - sooo get prepared to be blocked in. The other issue is the EXORBITANT electric costs which another reviewer pointed out. If you put on your heat during the winter, expect your bill to be $400 + (for a 1 bedrom). The apartments are OLD, and VERY dusty as their maintenance calls for them to "replace the filters" NOT clean airducts. While the outside looks cute - inside, you'll see where they have cut corners - I had molding throughout the apartment that seemed to be taken off the junk heap - chipped, like giant gashes out of it OR hair painted in it. Ceilings and walls cracking in many apartments; those with a washer/dryer - forget doing a full wash - maybe a few bras could fit and the laundry room is atrocious - mold and mildew in the washers, it's never cleaned and the price goes up!! Overall, they think they can get premium rents for an old building, with a decent facade but that's it. No amenities. Certainly can't compare with the properties in town that have gyms, gathering areas, business centers and more.Leer Más
Safe and Well Maintained Apartments!

The maintenance staff responds immediately to a request, and they are friendly and very professional . We had one or two minor things that needed to be fixed, but maintenance was on it within a day or two. Rooms are a great size and the layout is perfect. Love that the living space is a bit separate from the bedroom. We haven't had any problems with noise and our neighbors are very nice! The apartment was clean, with new carpets and freshly painted, neutral walls (not white!). There is plenty of storage ...and we LOVE the washer and dryer in unit.
