It’s okay but not great
July 3, 2022They make you pay a rhino fee if you have no/low credit which is almost $2,000 instead of paying a security deposit however you don’t get that $2,000 back at the end of the lease even if the apartment is in perfect condition and if you renew your lease you have to pay another rhino fee which is them just taking your money, also a sketchy neighborhood they never keep the front gate closed at night like they say they would, they also make you pay $30/month for “valet trash” and they’re supposed to ...come Monday-Friday every morning but my garbage will sit out there for a full 4 days a lot of the time and I have to text the landlord just for my garbage to be picked up. Other than that It’s a nice apartment on the inside but definitely not a good area of Tampa to live in.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
My experience at Oak Bend.
October 31, 2017After moving in, I had to call to have my shower fixed, the wall fixed, my kitchen sink fixed, two of my drawers fixed. I have now been there for over a year. Nothing ever got fixed. Someone got kidnapped at gun point from Oak Bend Apartment's parking lot and forced to drive to an ATM and was made to empty their bank account. The news story is simple to find online. Just put the name of the complex, the city, and "kidnapping" in any search engine. After that person lost all their money, they ...received a "pay your rent or get out" notice from the office when they were a couple of days late on the rent. They fixed the security gate. But now the security company doesn't come anymore. The people that commit crimes in the parking lot have always seemed to come on foot, so the gate helps nothing. My car has been broken into 2 times at this apartment complex. You can hear gun shots often when you are outside from the surrounding neighborhood. Emergency Services are often called out to this apartment for who knows what inside this complex. You can also hear yelling, cursing, and sometimes even screams for help from outside your apartment. Don't leave your apartment after 10pm. There is a wild party that happens nightly in the neighborhood behind the complex and often it is hard to sleep, due to the loud music. I don't feel safe at this apartment complex any longer. I am moving out ASAP.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
