Apartment Nightmare / Roach Paradise
September 20, 2024First year I moved here everything was up to a 4 or 5 star rating. Barely had things to ever complain about. However this second year has been a nightmare. Everything started going down hill once a new management staff came in. There have been a few questionable neighbors that have been allowed in that definitely cause for concern of just how clean they are and or inconsiderate they could be. Water Pressure has been a joke. Barely get a good shower in. Maintenance fixes it and works for a month ...and then takes a crap. Kitchen sink is almost non existing in pressure. Been waiting on that one for months now to get fixed. Smoke alarms can go off on you over the simplest things such as toasting bread. No seriously it has gone off over that simple task a few times it ridiculous. The thermostat kind of sucks and you will be using AC or Heat quite a lot do to how it operates at one set temp and will turn off or on it the room goes over or under the set temp by 1 degree. Lastly I have been killing about 3-5 roaches a day, sometimes 8-10. It doesn't matter how well things are clean or if there is just a hand full of crumbs out. Complain and have the pest control come in and spray with what looks like zero effort. But in reality it actually looks like it attracts them in verse repeals them away. And to think your paying up to $30 a month for that type of service. Hallways often smell like decay and like a trash alley way. I would highly suggest finding something else cause your personal health is worth way more than this place. Place is just overall kind of disgusting hidden by a kind of okay looking shell. Only two positives I can find about this place. Very affordable for what you are getting. But not really worth this health issues if you ask me. Then also the layout of the rooms are actually pretty good. Ask my opinion, If your on a very tight budget and need something cheap, this place will work but know your buying into something not very good for the long run and loaded with issues. No maintenance
August 13, 2024There is absolutely no maintannce team to ever get anything done. My apartment floods every time it rains for the past two months and all I get told is that they are "short staffed" Which is a load of nonsense because even if they were they should have at least talked to me once during the time frame. But nothing but ghosting me and I will never ever recommend this terrible place.Property Manager Responded

New management every 2 weeks and no organization
June 21, 2024I have lived here for a year and have seen 5 management staff. My AC has been out for over a month and they took forever to come fix it. They cannot keep employees to save their lives. After 4 maintenance men came to look at the unit it was replaced (after a month of no ac.) Then, the same day it was replaced the fan on the inside breaks (likely because it was not compatible with the new unit.) DO NOT MOVE HERE.Property Manager Responded

Amazing Living
October 22, 2023I have consistently experienced the best residential support services of my life. The staff are friendly and helpful… Anytime I have submitted a maintenance request I have received a prompt response. Whether it was changing light bulbs, replacing/removing furniture, or servicing the plumbing and electricity, maintence quickly and thoroughly ensured that I have an optimal living environment. I intend to continue renting from the pearl, and I strongly recommend their properties to all of the ...incoming graduate students looking for housing. In some ways, your property management company can make or break your living experience and with the Pearl, it’s all in the service. I couldn’t be happier!Property Manager Responded

Horrible Hazardous place
August 15, 2023The Pearl is roach infested. No matter what you do how much you clean they keep coming. They have you sign a no smoking policy but it is never enforced my child has asthma and we have to leave home due to the smoke from neighbors. The hallways smell horrible broken down washers and dryers sit for months at a time in the laundry area. Please don’t be fooled by the upgrades they are cover ups over old problems. Don't do it
May 2, 2023They'll paint a picture that they are there to help, speak about all the "upgrades" and changes but they won't honor simple requests and will talk down to you as if mold and a wet carpet is normal! The smell is unbearable. You'll probably never get to use the pool cause it's only open during business hours M-F, grills and fire pit have been sitting unused for almost a year. love it!
November 29, 2022Just moved from Kernersville to High Point for work and found this place! The process was quick and easy! as in- i stopped by on a Tuesday, and they had me processed and moved in by Friday! They answered all of my questions and concerns honestly and didn't try to beat around the bush. I got the same apartment I looked at unlike other places who only wanted to show me a model and then give me something else that wasn't ready to look at or move until the day i wanted to move in. The office girls ...were extremely pleasant and even left me a welcoming bag in my apartment the day i moved it that had essentials to get me by this week (what a cool idea and a lifesaver!). Overall, the apartment is great. Immaculately clean and i really like the new look to it. I got a top floor with a view of the woods, and it has been very peaceful and so quiet. A great family place!!
November 2, 2022Single mom with two kids here and i felt so important when i came in needing an apartment ASAP. The managers stepped in to find me exactly what a i needed. They let my kids play on the playground while i went on the tour and didn't rush them or hurry anything along. They even had goody bags for them to keep them occupied while i filled out my application. The company had a special where they waived my application fee because i applied that day and they got me a two bedroom on the first floor in ...the area i wanted. i moved in on Monday and everything has been great so far! They even gave us a gift bag with stuff for our first week..as a mom who had no time to bring in stuff like trash bags, toilet paper and dish soap..even some bottled water... this really made me feel cared about that they would think ahead for people moving in like that so we wouldn't have to stop and rush to the store for the little stuff.. and they even called today to ask how i was settling in. It's been a really great experience so far. Everything was clean. There are people out picking up debris or trash every day and cleaning the place. We LOVE it!
October 17, 2022Have been here just over six months and am finally able to share a true perspective! The improvements have been life changing for this area! All my friend and family who visit can't believe their eyes! I love all of the staff. The maintenance men come same day. The leasing office responds quickly, and they are upgrading everything! We have already used the new hammock like a dozen times and my two dogs love the new toys in the pet park! We are 100% planning to renew another year!
