Every maintenance request I’ve submitted has been handled quickly, professionally, and with great attention to detail. The staff is respectful, knowledgeable, and always makes sure the issue is fully resolved before leaving. May 8, 2026I’ve been really impressed with how much effort the maintenance staff at River Ridge puts into keeping the property in great condition. Anytime there’s been an issue, the team responds quickly to work orders and handles repairs in a timely, professional manner. The staff really knows what they’re talking about, and it shows in the quality of the work they do. No matter the issue, they take the time to fix it correctly and professionally while making residents feel heard and respected. One thing ...that really stands out is how clean and well-kept the property always looks. The team is constantly out working hard to maintain the grounds, keep the community clean, and make sure everything stays safe and welcoming for residents. Great new staff
April 29, 2026I’ve been living at River Ridge Apartments for a while now, and I’ve really noticed a positive change since the new management took over. The difference has been clear, especially in how attentive and organized everything feels. The office staff has been fantastic—always approachable, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure residents feel heard and taken care of. Overall amazing staff
April 29, 2026I recently moved to Asheville and chose River Ridge Apartments as my new home, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience so far. Being new to the area, I had a lot of questions and uncertainties, but the entire leasing team made the transition incredibly smooth. From the very beginning, they were welcoming, patient, and genuinely helpful, always taking the time to explain things clearly and offer helpful suggestions about the community and surrounding area. The maintenance staff has also been ...outstanding. Any request I’ve submitted has been handled quickly and efficiently, and they’re always friendly and respectful when they come by. It’s clear that they take pride in keeping the community in great shape, and their responsiveness really adds to the overall sense of comfort living here. Overall, the combination of a supportive leasing team and reliable maintenance staff has made settling into a new city much easier than I expected. Moving somewhere new can be stressful, but having a team that truly cares has made all the difference. Death Trap Apartments
September 17, 2025A close friend asked me to share their experience with River Ridge Apartments (NHE Inc., Greenville SC) after what they went through. I'm posting this because people deserve to know what they're potentially getting into. It seems River Ridge makes an effort to delete all negative reviews in an effort to portray themselves in a better light to potential residents. My friend lived through the devastating 2024 Swannanoa River flooding that hit this property hard. They witnessed 68 units getting ...damaged, with 34 ground-floor units completely destroyed. Water reached ceiling levels in many units, leaving toxic sludge and aggressive mold throughout the buildings while severely compromising foundations. What really upset my friend was the company's response. Instead of proper remediation, they report that NHE is simply painting over flood damage rather than properly addressing the serious structural issues. The company forced longtime residents, including elderly tenants who had lived there for decades, into new leases at much higher rates while simultaneously offering new tenants move-in specials. It felt like they were taking advantage of people who had nowhere else to go during their most vulnerable time. Even before the flooding disaster, my friend dealt with ongoing problems at River Ridge. The insulation was so poor that utility bills were astronomical, and some elderly residents had to duct tape windows just to stay warm. Persistent mold and ventilation problems plagued most buildings, while paper-thin walls meant you could hear and smell everything from neighboring units. The common areas and amenities were poorly maintained, and residents faced annual rent increases of $150 to $300 or more. My friend genuinely cares about preventing others from going through what they experienced. Asheville is a wonderful city with many great housing options, and you don't need to settle for a property with these kinds of serious concerns about safety and management practices. Please do your own research and consider all options carefully, because your safety and financial well-being matter. Homeless and car break-ins
July 21, 2019River Ridge has always had a homeless problem. There are several camps and management does nothing, including clean them up. Garbage is piling up and there are needles left behind. July 21, 2019This are 30 year old apartments but they charge new apartment rents. They also go up every year no matter how long you have been there or your payment record. There are problems with plumbing, air/hear and windows. If your neighbors smoke - good luck - your apartment will smell like smoke. January 21, 2019I requested a mold test for my bathroom. I have had an ongoing leak from the upstairs tub. But they refused, and instead told me if I did not like it, I could move. Run away
September 11, 2016The apartment was ok. It was old and dated but location was perfect. My negative rating is because after I moved they charged me $700 for some reason. They kept my deposit and I was not sent a email, letter, or called. There's nothing like a little peace and quiet.
July 21, 2015We've left the cranked-up bass and parking wars of Northern city life behind! Of course, that can happen anywhere, but turning into our parking lot is such a mellow, pleasant experience here. The apartment is affordable and roomy, and the entire property is well maintained. We actually know and speak to our neighbors... not many can say that anymore! The pool is great, the gym in great, the clubhouse is great, there are garden plots and grilling areas available, and really, at night all we hear ...are crickets. Getting to the city is a 10-minute drive, and there are multiple bus stops only a short walk away. All in all, it's the best move we ever made.Leer MásReseña de Apartments.com
