I currently reside in the Southgate townhomes and have so far had a pretty decent experience. It's a fairly spacious townhome with three bedrooms and three bathrooms (one shower only), and for the most part has been highly maintained. Also, having a washer and dryer directly in the apartment is fantastic! The only things I have to warn about are parking- only two passes are free with the apartment. The third is an extra two hundred dollars for a year. Also if you plan on moving in, you need to be
...okay with hand washing dishes because of the dishwasher not being so efficient. Luckily I don't mind doing that so much, so it hasn't been a problem. Maintainance slacks a little bit sometimes with fixing things when they break, but if you're adamant about having an issue, they'll certainly help out however they can. All in all, this is a great place to live. Then location is very quiet and pretty, but also young enough that having get togethers on weekends has never been a problem. The grocery store and YMCA gym are directly down the road, as is the South Hills School of Business & Technology. With the complex being only a few minutes from down town, this has been a perfect place for me to live. I feel like I'm part of Penn State, without having to constantly be directly on campus. I definitely would reccomend these apartments to friends. Happy searching!
