Upkeep
December 15, 2023The hallway on the 4th floor is treacherous the ceilings are falling in there’s a big hole and it smells of mildew and bad trash ! The faucets in my kitchen is really disgusting looks like it hasn’t been changed in years and the shower head . I’ve complained several times about the tub not draining properly and the messed it up even more these apartments are horribleProperty Manager Responded

Mildew, moisture, bad pipes
October 21, 2021Plumbing overflowed into my kitchen sink, waters are down because of Plumbing issues and Susitna Ridge doesn't care. Along with moisture you get no-see'ms and water antsProperty Manager Responded
November 3, 2021Hello, Thank you for working with our Area Director to address your concerns. We are very sorry you had to deal with any sort of water intrusion- we understand it's very inconvenient. After this occurred in your apartment we extracted the water, cleaned the carpet and had an outside inspection to ensure the apartment was free from water and in satisfactory and clean condition. Please note while no evidence of pests were ever found in the apartment, we still moved forward with exterminator services as a courtesy.

Love my one bedroom
July 26, 2020Been living in my apartment for almost a year now (in August) and will definitely be renewing my lease. Initially chose the location because of the reviews I’d seen here and it’s proximity to UAA, the store, downtown, and anywhere else you’d need to go really. It’s been a great experience. Living alone as a woman in my twenties, I’ve never felt unsafe here. It stays pretty quiet, and everyone I’ve seen or crossed paths with has been super friendly and inviting (mostly young college students, ...military, or long-term residents I’ve noticed). The covered parking in the winter, top-notch maintenance, and the view are amazing too (can see the mountains from my spot—perfect for coffee in the morning). Definitely the ideal location for me, will be staying as long as I can.Property Manager Responded

Shout out to the 907, will miss my apt unit
May 10, 2019Lived in my 1 bedroom unit for 7.5 years before leaving the great State b/c of a job transfer. Maintenance staff is top notch, every request put in was completed. The management staff is professional and willing to work with you to ensure your experience at this apt is a pleasurable one. People of the older generation that I met over the years at the complex told me they stayed here for over 10 years b/c they loved there apt rental. Along the same line, that is what convinced me to rent from here ...to begin with b/c of a senior citizen invited me to her unit when I found out that the office was closed for the day. Her gesture along with what she told me about the place convinced me this was the place for me. Everything ( medical , schools , shoppes , job ) is within 10 minutes. I am going to miss taking walks to Fire Island Bakery close by, car port parking, onsite storage ( extra fee ), and the staff.Property Manager Responded

Current resident
November 4, 2018I'm a current resident at Susitna Apartments. One of the main reasons I chose the complex was its proximity to my workplace. Another was the friendliness and welcomed feeling I received when I initially inquired about it. I first met Tina; then, NancyDee. It was evident that both of them knew and cared about the residents in both apartment complexes on site. The apartments are spacious and clean, as well as the overall complex. For the most part, residents tend to respect others' spaces. If ...I had one critique it would be that the hallway carpet needs to be replaced due to the amount of traffic it receives. In addition, living in Alaska is messy during the winter with snow, sand and gravel everywhere. There's only so much cleaning that can be done on lighter colored carpet though. Nonetheless, that's a superficial issue. Maintenance issues are resolved expeditiously and the place is safe. I call it home.Leer MásReseña de Apartments.com
Great Place to Live (Clean, Affordable, and Safe)
August 7, 2018I was a resident of Susitna Ridge Apartments from July 2017 to June 2018 as a second residence for work. After looking around a several locations, I chose Susitna Ridge Apartments for the cleanliness of the apartment, the convenient location to & from work, it was affordable, and I especially appreciated the professionalism of the management. There were a only a few times that I had to call maintenance for minor issues, but when I called, they addressed the issue right away. Great Apartment Leaving
October 10, 2015This is the most convenient apartment leaving offering the options of regular apartments and home apartments. It is conveniently located with easy access to the downtown area, supermarkets, trails, shopping centers, and departments stores.The building is secure with cameras in the lobby area, and the smoke detractors, fire alarms,and sprinklers are always kept to code with regular inceptions. The parking lot is always well kept, and equipped with carports and electric plug-ins. The laundry room ...is kept clean with good performance washing machines and dryers. Unlike other apartment laundry rooms, this area is always well maintained. The management is friendly, and caring; providing a sense of family. The maintenance staff is cordial, prompt and efficient in responding to repairing requests. There is a gym and sauna inside the building, a feature that is not always offered with most apartments. September 23, 2015I have lived in the apts for over a year. They are OK, dated but usable. They try to be flexible with the apt. contracts and will work with you to the best of their ability. The maintenance is great overall; one must consider the complex is aging and needs occasional repairs. Gary is a works tirelessly to keep the apts. up-to-date. It is the staff's attitude that make Susitna Ridge a good experience. Covered parking is a great plus. The parking lot noise late at night has gone down. I pay ...for water and electric. I have never had a problem with the hear. I do hear the people above me (they seem to “forget” there are people below them and like to vacuum, drop heavy things or move furniture after 10 pm). Susitna Ridge Apartment
September 16, 2015Although the neighbor hood may not be the best, the location is still ideal because of its close proximity to both downtown and midtown. The complex its self is well kep on the outside. The inside of the building looks good right near the main office but all other areas are in need of some up grades. This complax does have a nicely kept laundry room that is new this year and a garbage room that is open during the week so that you don't have to deal with trudging through the snow. Why I choose Susitna Ridge Apartments to be Home
September 14, 2015When I was researching apartments I knew I wanted community and value. Susitna Ridge offers both of these. When I visited I noticed the covered parking first, which means I don't have to dig my car out of snow before rushing off to work. Each apartment has a balcony with glass sliding doors so I can sit outside to enjoy the sun and scenery, and I can grow my ficus tree inside. The community is wonderful. It's quiet, peaceful, and people seem genuinely respectful. Maintenance and Staff are ...available during working hours. I feel safe knowing there is an extra set of eyes while I'm away at work. Rent is competitively priced and their online system makes paying rent or requesting maintenance simple and efficient. The fitness room is great for rainy days. The one only thing I don't like is the laundry room. I wish I had a washer dryer set in my apartment. But it's great being able to do a few loads at one time. That means I can spend more time jogging or cycling on the bike path just a quarter mile down the road. Susitna is within jogging distance to West Chester Lagoon, one of my favorite spots in Anchorage.
