dog were attacked by another tenant's dog, and she was telling me about it (just after it happened), while I was holding a different tenant's dog who had gotten loose. The tenant who was attacked said that she would be getting ahold of the landlord, after not being able to talk with the owner of the dog who did the attacking, but also remarked, "Not that that's going to do a lot of good." There's always a weird smell in the hallway, usually like very smelly garbage. There was consistently a bug issue, with different bugs. Once was ants, another time was Japanese beetles. One night, while falling asleep, a centipede fell from the ceiling onto my head. The windows are very drafty and I could see the window shade moving in the winter. There is one tenant there who, I don't know if he's good friends with the landlord or what, but he has gotten away with many things other people have gotten evicted for. He smoked in his unit, and never leashed his dogs, and he's a hoarder, so his stuff was all over in the hallway for almost the entire year I lived there. There is also a space off the lobby, which is usually the property manager's office (but there isn't a property manager) and he has filled that space as well. So instead of a property manager or something for all of the tenants, it's just full of this guy's stuff. And the water is weird. I think it's very hard water and a lot of softener is used. A lot of floor cleaner is used in the hallway, which usually chokes me a bit, I assume to cover up the stink. The maintenance man entered my apartment a couple times without notice. I moved out and have tried to contact the landlord several times about returning the keys and about getting information about my security deposit, but no answer. He didn't contact me during the move out, like a normal landlord or property manager would. So now I have to contact the Tenant Resource Center, other agencies, and possibly a lawyer in order to get a simple answer.
