    My husband is going active duty at the end of July and we will be moving at the end of August. We won’t have an LES until right before we leave our current residence. I was told by office staff that a copy of his orders would suffice, as it acted as an offer letter. With our current income as it stands, we don’t meet income requirements but I was assured that we would be ok. After receiving and email from the income verification system that we didn’t meet requirements, I called the office to make ...
    sure they knew our situation. I was then told by another person that we would either need an LES or email from his CO proving income. If they had bothered to tell us that in the first place, it would have been fine. However, the fact that they told us this after knowing our situation and submitting an application that they knew they couldn’t approve without an LES, we asked ourselves “if they can’t communicate effectively with prospective clients, how do they treat current clients?” We decided we didn’t want to find out within 20 minutes, had been approved for, as it turns out, a nicer apartment for less money and better management.

    I love this place! It’s going through some renovations and bumps along the way but the office staff is very helpful and maintenance takes care of the repairs. I enjoy the events each month too!

  • Great Place to call HOME!

    The Brooks is under new management and services. The problem reviews of the past have been taken care of it seems with the new warm and friendly people that do care about our satisfaction. We recently toured the Brooks and found a very nice place to live with many amenities and things to do and numerous things close by. The lady that takes care of the Brooks as far as management goes, is very warm, friendly (along with the other folks), and knows a lot about the complex. She genuinely cares about ...
    the comfort and safety of everyone. I think her name was Chelyn, I hope I spelled it right. It is well worth your time during your search to take a tour and just talk with them. You will not be disappointed. The wife and I hope to move into the Brooks very soon.

    So, it’s a nice starter apartment. Rent is great and management is somewhat attentive. HOWEVER... the complex itself is trash covered and the units are iffy. Not updated whatsoever, and half of the time something is breaking. If I knew what I know now... I would’ve bit the bullet and paid a higher rent somewhere else. The stairways and hallways are embarrassingly disgusting and the smell of marijuana/trash in the streets is awful. I’m constantly fighting bugs and dodging dog poop in the grass. I ...

  • Trash EVERYWHERE

    August 18, 2020
    Tenants are clean and respectable, but grounds maintenance are pathetic. I saw them hiding behind AC units, while dodging broken glass and trash in the parking lot and on the stairs. Jennifer in the office was blunt, rude, and seemed to have no interest in addressing these issues for future tenants. Also, this gated community has had a broken gate for 6 months.

  • Great place to call home

    I just signed another year lease to live here. I Looked around to move but this was by far the best deal in town. Also, by living here already I know how nice it is. The people that work here are nice and help you with any problems you encounter. The move-in process was super easy and the apartment is beautiful. The community is nice and residents are friendly.     The office staff is rude and inconsiderate. Maintenance requests take long to complete and the requests are sometimesoffice . Be pepared to stay in the office when you need issues addressed. Ask for corporates number before you move in. You may need it.

  • So happy we moved here!

    We've been here for more than a year and a half and are only leaving due to the fact that we now have a large dog who really needs a yard to run. Maintenance has always been top-notch and the front office staff very friendly. Our apartment is huge with massive closets that no home has been able to match in our search. We will definitely be missing them in our new house! I searched for months before moving to Fort Bragg and this was the best apartment for a decent price with very few traffic ...
    issues (even with 210/Bragg Blvd construction). We've had no security issues here and just about all the residents have been very friendly. We highly recommend this place for incoming military!

  • Bad management

    Has to be one of the worst places I've ever lived. The property manager, is very unprofessional. Refuses to speak over the phone. You have to legitimately go up to the office to get her to speak to you. The staff forgot to add in a moving cost, but we weren't told till months later, and they still expect us to fix their mistakes. A window broke a week after we moved in due to the heat outside and how cold it was inside. We were told told we wouldn't have to pay for it from one of the staff ...
    members. But she never documented it. It wasn't until I complained to corporate about how unorganized they were, that they found us not guilty of breaking the window and told us the same thing the other lady did. I feel as tho they just try to get extra money out of people bc they feel that they can. I can't wait til move out day. Oh. AND they have stolen pics on their website.

  • Bragging on the Heritage!!!!

    I love my apartment. I am a divorced mom with three beautiful girls. We lived in government housing for over 8 years. It was time to go when they told me that my rent was going up to over 1000 dollars. I said what!! So my youngest daughter found heritage. We are high in the sky, third floor and close to God. The community is spacious with a gym, swimming pool and recreation center with computers and television in a gated community. We also have a small family movie theatre where we can sign ...
    out movies or watch from our own collections. The staff is very nice and helpful. We have a 3 bedroom apartment with 3 full bathrooms, balcony, laundry room and spacious living room. If you have an issue just call the office and they put in a work order. If you have packages, they hold them at the office until you pick them up. They have a volleyball field, community garden and lots of space for your pets as well as playgrounds for each building so kids can play safely. We also have storage space that you can rent right on the property. I really love my new home. So having rent free for a year or for life would make my whole family cry and be thankful to god for this contest.
