Historic Charm

Beautiful & Historic
July 15, 2025My unit was so beautiful with sweeping views of Macon. You notice the historic charm of this unique building as soon as you enter the lobby. The restoration of my unit captured that same historic charm, but thankfully added modern amenities. Tiffany, the property manager, is the best i’ve ever had. She was always responsive, polite, and friendly, and kept this very large building running as good as a 100+ year old building can. The location is super convenient for students or professionals ...working downtown; I could have easily rode my bike to work (if it weren’t for the brutal Georgia heat) and it’s especially ideal for law students, who can get to the law school safely on foot in just a few minutes. The maintenance team was fantastic; I usually had my concerns addressed within a few hours of submitting a work order. Tiffany has assembled a great staff here and I would HIGHLY recommend this property. When I was there, they were in the midst of redoing the parking lot to add a security gate. That feature will be great when it’s completed. I never felt unsafe in the area with or without the gate. Most of the other tenants I met were wonderful; some had been living in the building for decades. The owners have poured a lot of time and resources into restoring this property and I wouldn’t hesitate to re-sign if I ever moved back to MaconProperty Manager Responded

Beautiful, historic, safe, trusted!
June 10, 2025I had an incredible experience at this truly historic spot in Macon! The team is dedicated to preserving and honoring the history, while being on top of maintenance when need be, and even looking for unique ways to enhance the space. The building architecture and design are absolutely stunning, and the landscape is always well kept; blending in perfectly with the charm that College Street brings to Macon. (Great location!) The main lobby is particularly gorgeous- a must see in person! It’s run ...by top-notch management. Tiffany and John are standout, one-of–a-kind professionals and people. The Massee experience was individually tailored to meet the needs of each resident. Friendly, caring, and professional. Pet people— this is a PET FRIENDLY complex! Plenty of super kind neighbors, amenities, endless hot water, and entrances and exits to the building are uniquely coded with parking being fenced in. Great place to live — friendly staff and well maintained
June 9, 2025I had a really good experience living here. The water always ran hot, which was great. The handyman was fantastic... not only quick to fix anything, but he often cleaned my apartment even though he didn’t have to. The manager was always extremely nice and helpful any time I interacted with her. I also never had any trouble with pests, and the property is kept very clean overall. The location is in a good area, which made living here even more enjoyable. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this ...complex to anyone looking for a reliable and friendly place to live.Property Manager Responded

Gorgeous and Amazing
March 31, 2025I have lived here for almost 4 months and love it! Beautiful hardwoods, antique cabinetry, gorgeous views, and more. Staff is amazing, both Tiffany and John stay on top of any issues I have, and billing. They make apartment living feel like I’m at home. Neighbors are all very friendly, and the location is perfect for me. Close to downtown but not too close.Property Manager Responded

Great Place
March 4, 2024Tiffany and the rest of the staff helped me with everything I needed in a very timely manner. The location is great, right near Mercer and the rest of downtown. It also has easy access to the interstate leading to the rest of Macon. Plenty of parking in a gated lot around back. College Street is wonderful and does not have any of the issues most people associate with Downtown Macon. My one bedroom had plenty of space and was a wonderful area for any college kids or young professionals.Reseña de Apartments.com
Amazing and caring staff!
June 8, 2023I co-signed a one-year lease on an apartment on behalf of my son; I live far away from Macon. His circumstances changed within one week of moving in, and he had to vacate. Tiffany was extremely compassionate and understanding of the circumstances, and waived the minimum extra 2-month payout stipulated in the lease, as well as half of the cleaning fees upon my requesting to terminate the lease. She also helped personally in making some local phone calls that I did not have contacts for. She went ...above and beyond, going the extra mile, to help me and my son out. April 24, 2023I've lived at the Massee for almost 3 years now and I love it. Tiffany and James are the best leasing managers I've ever experienced. They're always prompt, kind and willing to work with your needs. I always feel heard when I talk to them. The apartments have a ton of charm and I've made tons of friends with my neighbors since living here. Everyone is kind and helpful and there's a definite sense of community here. April 24, 2023I have been living in the Massee for 6 years now and never had any issues with the other residents or staff. The property is maintained, and any requests made are promptly fixed. For the location the pricing is fair, ideally located and they are always looking to improve features offered within the building as well as aesthetics. BEAUTIFUL!
April 23, 2018I lived in this apartment when I worked night shift. It was always quiet and peaceful, I never heard my neighbors, I swear the walls are made of concrete. The hard wood floors were so easy to clean. There’s a laundry room down in the basement so you don’t have to buy your own, they are super well kept too. I had neighbors of all ages so it was nicely diverse. The maintenance staff were quick and always polite when I was making requests; they really know the building. If you are looking for a view ...of the city, this is the tallest point you’ll get, you can see sunsets and sunrises.
