Best apartments between GR and the lakeshore
September 28, 2023I have lived at West Wind two separate times now and I can confidently say that it is the best apartment complex in the area. The unit are upscale, well maintained, and huge. The staff here is top rate. Miguel and Leah in the office are the nicest people and they always greet you with a smile. Justin, the maintenance guy, goes above and beyond; he even helped me move some very large boxes when I moved in. The apartments are also very dog and child friendly. Wonderful place to live!
February 21, 2019We love West Wind Place! The apartment itself is spacious and bright. The clubhouse is a beautiful and well stocked area to have a larger party, too. We spent many summer/fall evenings enjoying the outdoor space. The fire pit is a great place to relax while the kids play on the playground area. There is plenty of outdoor space for the kids to play football and run around. The office staff is easy to work with and will help you with anything you need. Allendale is a fun town with lots to ...offer. It's close to Lake Michigan and also to downtown Grand Rapids. January 15, 2019Cheaply build and terrible management! This complex is managed by money hungry individuals looking to make a quick buck. Everything you do just short of breathing comes with a hefty charge. Don't Want To Leave
May 15, 2018I love it here at West Wind! I was hesitant about living in an apartment, after living in a house my whole life. We've lived here for just over a year and we aren't ready to leave. The apartments are very luxurious and private. Everyone we meet is very friendly but I don't often see too many people, everyone is very respectful of each other's space. When I'm in the apartment, I forget that I am inside of a building, it's very quiet and I never hear other units. The office staff is very personable ...and excited to help with anything you may need. I have a dog and he loves the on-site dog park, as well as the 20-acre dog park down the street. In the time we've lived here at West Wind, we've only had one maintenance request and it was resolved in 30 minutes (on a weekend!) Sorry I rented here, don't do it
October 22, 2017Extremely noisy. You can hear every footstep, ever slam of every door. Power flush on your toilet, so you wake everyone up with every flush. No doorbells or buzzers to your unit, so packages are left outside the building. Poorly designed for a new build.Property Manager Responded

We wish you would have contacted the office regarding your concerns. Packages should certainly be delivered to your front door or our office. June 29, 2017you pay for other peoples utilities. I haven't been there for 2/3 months of the quarterly water bill, yet somehow i used $90 worth of water in April alone. They bill the whole building and divided it amongst everyone in it, whether you are there or not.Property Manager Responded
