February 7, 2025 - Reseña de Apartments.comThey really need to update this advertisement. First off, utilities are no longer included in the rent. You will be paying an extra $80 for them starting January 1st, 2025. Second, free cable is no more a thing. They took that away without notice around September or October of 2024. Third, if the studio rent is cheap, means the unit is not renovated. Some units, the heating doesn't work in the living area and in some, the heating in the bathroom doesn't work. Four, the walls are thin. I hear my ...neighbor snoring. Five, whatever the surrounding neighbors are cooking or smoking, you will smell and it will enter your apartment and six, the occasional homeless person living in the lounge areas.Leer Más

There used to be a miss Pac-Man game in the laundry room, which was the only good part stay away my friends stay away and don’t look back.

January 25, 2021 - Reseña de Apartments.comI am a neuroscience graduate student and a current resident at york north apartments. I chose to live here because all utilities are included, there are laundry facilities on site (read complaint below) and at the time there was a shuttle provided that would drop you off and pick you up from the local universities (it has since been discontinued with no reasonable explanation as to why). YONO is advertised as student friendly but without the shuttle and a few minor issues, I have to disagree. ...Therefore, before signing your lease ask for a tour and speak to other residents if possible so that you can make an informed decision about this complex. Up until now I have had minimal complaints about my apartment and the leasing office. Unfortunately, there has been a noticeable decline in management since the start of the pandemic. At first I was very understanding because the world was clearly in crisis. However, now that we're a year into the pandemic, I've reached out several times to the leasing staff and manager (twice through email and countless times in person) about my complaints, yet they have all been ignored. Pre-Covid packages were received by the leasing staff and held in a closet where we could then have them handed to us. Now packages are left out in the open in the front lobby and SEVERAL packages have been stolen. This has been going on for months. I am FED UP. The leasing staff have not done anything to prevent packages from being stolen. I will be making a police report tomorrow as a last resort because management can't seem to handle this problem on their own. The simple solution would be to just resume using the package closet however staff say that it's been discontinued due to covid safety concerns and yet I see staff meeting with potential residents daily, giving tours etc. how are these interactions not safety concerns. Lastly, the laundry room on the 11th floor is soooo POORLY kept. The machines need to be cleaned or replaced because there is always disgusting backwash like stuff in the detergent loading area of the washing machines. Also my clothes have either burned and/or melted in the driers or I had to dry loads twice. Please do something about the laundry room ASAP I really did not want to resort to posting a poor review but I am tired of being disregarded yet still expected to pay rent.Leer Más

November 16, 2020 - Reseña de Apartments.comThe place is not clean at all. Stairwells are full of cigarettes and cockroaches. Upon moving in the place had clearly not been cleaned and there was mold in the AC unit. It took 3 WEEKS before they supposedly had someone come in and clean it. There was still mold in it and there was no note left to say maintenance had entered the apartment. Also the wifi is completely unusable and the free cable is a lie. They issued me the lease with the free cable and then cancelled it and had me resign saying ...they are no longer offering cable despite it being advertised on their website and here. I am now dealing with them claiming I am late on rent when I signed up for Auto Pay and I always check the day of to ensure it went through. I have just reached out to them and no response. The only good thing about this place is the residents are friendly and the security guards are nice as well.Leer Más
It's a no for me
June 11, 2020 - Reseña de Apartments.comI've been living here for 7 months now and after reading these 5 star reviews I feel like they were either written by staff or they were paid to do so. This place is sneaky and dirty. Don't trust the people at the front desk, if you can even get a chance to speak to them in between all their phone calls and just straight up ignoring you standing there. 1 of their 2 elevators has not been running since I moved in and the "maintenance" of this elevator occasionally makes alarms in the building go ...off at random hours. On top of that the only functioning elevator breaks down frequently leaving you to walk up the steps. Please be wary of that if you are older, will live on the 10th floor, or have mobility issues. When I say that you can see the years worth of dirt and residue buildup in the stairwells and in common areas I'm not joking. Make sure you inspect all closets/ doors, faucets, pipes, and cabinets when you move in. The laundry room is poorly maintained and people have a tendency to touch or move your laundry for some reason. Most of the staff I've interacted with are fine, not great, but others are so oddly disingenuous that it's extremely uncomfortable be around them. All in all, I wouldn't recommend staying here to anyone but if you don't have much cash/ other options I wish you good luck and a better living situation in the near future.Leer Más

Anyone who lives here knows they treat residents like crap and their maintenance service is very sloppy. The truth is their staff is horrible and all they do is lie. I’ve lived here 3 years too long. The apartments don’t look anything like what they show you. Don’t even get me started on the elevator situation. This place closed down their best elevator for more than 8 months for ...“renovations” and the renovations were literally adding different buttons. And guess what? The elevator stops working every 3 days now. And add on the fact that their “amenities” are either out of date or broken and you got a great combination of a complete scam. You can find a much better place than this dump. The day this place cleans house with their lazy and disrespectful staff, will be the day this place has a shot to be good again.Leer Más

October 30, 2019 - Reseña de Apartments.comAny time there is any issue that ever arises, the staff at the front desk will always be willing to work with you through it. I also enjoy that for people who order packages frequently, the staff will place a small sticker on your mailbox notifying you that you have a package. It makes things a lot easier especially for busy lives to not have to worry about when a package has arrived. And most of the time, the staff will stop you if they notice you not coming to ask for it. I love it!
