Birds and bad management
January 18, 2025 - Review from Apartments.comThe outdoor dryer vent cover flaps are faulty and permanently stay slightly open, allowing birds to come and go as they please. This results in birds nesting in the vents of many of the units in the building. If you stand in the parking lot of the building for just a minute you will see birds flying in to at least 5 different vents. In my unit specifically, birds could be heard flapping around and chirping inside of my apartment, keeping me up at night. On top of this being noisy and annoying, ...it's also extremely unsanitary. The building manager and maintenance staff do not care. I contacted them numerous times about the issue before they finally sought professional help to come and get the birds out of multiple units. They had a guy come and use some suction tool to get the bird out. They did nothing to fix the vent cover and the bird was back within two hours. They stated "we can't put new vent covers on or they would have to be cleaned every 6 months." When I told them the bird was back two hours later, they stated "they would look into it," and I never heard anything again. When I moved out a few months later, the apartment manager asked why I was moving out and stated he had no idea the birds were still an issue. Terrible management. Do not live here unless you enjoy the sound of birds moving and chirping in your vents while you are trying to sleep. On top of that, the maintenance crew lacks judgment skills and let themselves into my apartment without my permission, did my laundry, and dried my clothes for 90 minutes on high heat to prove that the dryer worked (it didn't, the birds nests prevent proper drying).Read More

August 7, 2019 - Review from Apartments.comJust moved back to Wisconsin from California. This is a great building with great views in a superb location. Maintenance is responsive and fixed a dryer issue within 48 hours of my reporting it. Very quiet, solidly built. Comfy.

December 17, 2018 - Review from Apartments.comI lived in a 3 bedroom, 2 bedroom, and 1 bedroom apartment over the course of 5 years that I lived in this building. I loved my time here. Great location: Walking distance to events, shopping, bars, and restaurants. Block walls and concrete floors and ceilings keep it quiet inside. I had everything I needed and always felt comfortable.

The building manager and staff are very accessible and prompt. Never had any problems. Very classy operation. Can't beat the location - so much to do withing walking distance.

February 25, 2017 - Review from Apartments.comYou pay a luxury price but unfortunately there is nothing luxury about this building. The appliances have been outdated for many years. The building is not maintained well at all. Half the carpet on the floor is one style. Then it just switches to another style. Often you can find lots of dust and random pieces of trash around the building. The service you pay for is not the service you receive. You aren't treated like this is your home you're treated like a rent check. Maintenance is slow and ...they will leave you without appliances working for well over a week. Mostly everyone I've known has had similar complaints and moved on from this building.Read More
