When our unit developed a roof leak, Jamie responded immediately, scheduled an inspection right away, and Cynthia offered a seamless transfer to a new unit. Beautiful and quiet, but misleading advertising.
February 15, 2020The apartments are great quality, the community is clean and quiet. It's walking distance to Vanderbilt and cute shops. Patios are nice and staff is friendly. However, we lived in the Jackson suite, which we were led to believe was over 600 sq ft and a 1 bedroom, which is NOT true. Our apartment is a studio, so there is no bedroom door separating it from the kitchen/living room, which make it horribly loud and bright for people with slightly different sleeping schedules. Also, the square-footage ...count includes the patio space and a very long hallway that you don't use, which really leaves us just over 500 sq ft of actual usable space, which is WAY too small for two people, and if we had been able to visit this apartment in person we never would've gotten an apartment this small. Our last apartment was 656 sq ft, so we know what that looks like and this apartment is nowhere near that. And the pictures that the leasing staff sent to us before we signed our lease were not of our actual apartment, so the layout was different and made the apartment look larger than the one we actually got. Unfortunately, had we been able to visit the apartment in person we would've seen this straight away and left, but we moved from far away and were unable to. Also, they force you to buy into their internet/cable package, which I thought was a bit unorthodox. And the rent is way too high for this small a space and NO AMENITIES. (But the rent is high everywhere in this area so that's not something specific to this apartment complex.) In-unit washer/dryer is nice though, and gated parking so there is always a safe place to park. And they do have larger units for a higher price, but see them in person so you know EXACTLY what you're getting because online descriptions are not representative. Also leasing process took a month, which in my experience is a really long time, so take that into account as well. The walls and ceilings are thick enough that sounds from the neighbors haven't been a problem at all. Sometimes you can hear the people above you if they're stomping, but it's not frequent. Bathroom, shower/tub, and closet are all spacious. Another problem I've had is with maintenance/repairs. Sometimes they respond quickly to my requests, other times I've had to wait a month to get my issues fixed. Overall, I would've been very happy with this apartment if it had been larger, but the small space has made our lives really difficult.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
