The on site maintainence man is friendly and responsive. The inside of my apartment is plesant and spacious. It's a one bedroom. The kitchen is right near the door - it's easy access when buying groceries. The large L-shaped living room can accommodate 2 couches, a TV entertainment system, a few bookshelves / end tables, and a dining room table. There was new carpet and brand new appliances. There are no issues with the hot water or water pressure. Living here, there's always something fun to do. I am minutes away from the beautiful lake front, with trails and a short walk to the zoo. There's so many places to eat, and I have yet to be disappointed. I could eat at a different place 2-3 times a week for a year, and I think I wouldn't run out of new places or get bored. Commuting to Northwestern is a breeze too. I can easily hop on the "El" train purple line express and be here in 30-40 minutes. Getting downtown is super easy too; there's a bus stop right outside the door. If I had one complaint, it would be the parking situation. It is very hard to find street parking in the city p, this close to Wrigley field. There are parking spots at the apartment complex, but they are too expensive and too small. It is too difficult to park the car when other cars are present in adjacent spots. The solution is to not own a car - you really don't need one living in the city. I sold mine a week after moving here and it's been a major relief.
