No AC in August, No Communication, No Accountability

Living here was a positive experience until we needed management to address a serious maintenance issue. The response since then has been unacceptable.
Our AC began failing at the end of June, about 6 weeks ago, and now that we are in August has been completely out for more than a week. The temperature inside our home has exceeded 80 degrees, leaving my young children and myself unable live comfortably in our home. I have called repeatedly, sent multiple service requests, and purchased several ...
fans for the rooms before a window unit was provided about three days ago.
There is still no confirmed repair date. Management continues to say that a part is being ordered and employees promise to speak with the property manager, but no follow-up is provided. The property manager has since gone on vacation without communicating any resolution or ensuring someone else would take ownership of the problem.
We are fortunate to be moving out soon. I would strongly caution prospective residents against confusing a good experience during normal circumstances with competent property management. Based on our experience, when a major problem arises residents are left to make repeated calls, pay for their own temporary solutions, and will wait indefinitely while management goes on vacation and offers empty assurances.
