        I have lived here since it was Placentia Place and its been on a downward spiral since. The new management team here now is the absolute worst. Very rude staff, the manager is very dismissive and always seems bothered. Ill start with the crazy parking here. You get 1 covered spot if you need a second one you have to and pay monthly for it. However the paid spot is not guaranteed or covered. You pay for a pass and have to hope you find a spot close to your unit. You cant have visitors passed 6pm ...
        or they will tow their car without warning. There's like 13 spots shared between the entire complex for visitors and that only applies if you can get off work and get a pass before the office closes. Even if the spot is open, if you were not able to get a physical pass they will and have towed resident and family cars. They also refer you to 1 street to park which is also shared by 3 other apartment complexs and town homes. They make you go through registration checks and all to get a pass and for your included spot, but dont use any of that info before towing it's simply a loop to make you hop through. If you need work done they log your work order, send a maintenance guy, they will make notes, leave without fixing anything, say they need approval, close the order and you can try again. I have had mold in the bathroom and maintenance came and would have just painted right over it until I asked if youre going to scrub and remove that first. Be aware, moving in here means you at some point will have roaches in your unit. Clean all day if you wish, im of the belief they live in the walls. The trash areas are nasty and no one cleans up around the complex, and that includes dog poop. There is literally days old dog poop on the side walk so its not like they missed cleaning its just ignored. Speaking of trash, you will be billed for trash as part of your rent as well as a second billing "valet living" a $25 charge for a vendor we can not opt out of to pick up our trash from the door to which a lot of times they just dont come. Gym machines are broke and breaking. There's a resident clubhouse, but you have to pay to use it. Gate is currently working but when it breaks and it always does, it will be down for at least a month. Then the icing on the cake, you can be sure after your lease is up your rent will be increased. Save yourself! Don't move here. The day i leave will be a chapter of my life I celebrate closing!

        I would strongly advise anyone considering moving into 310 Jefferson Apartments to reconsider. I have been dealing with a severe roach infestation for an extended period of time, and despite bringing this issue to the management’s attention, little to no effective action has been taken. Management has been dismissive, and inefficient in addressing the situation. Pest control treatments were minimal and clearly inadequate. Management is not taking accountability for providing safe, habitable ...
        living conditions, as required by law. Living here has been a complete nightmare. It is unacceptable to pay rent for an apartment that is overrun by pests, making it not only uncomfortable but also potentially a health hazard. I have lost significant time, peace of mind, and incurred additional expenses trying to protect my home and belongings due to management’s negligence. If you are considering renting here, be prepared for ongoing pest issues, such as rats and roaches, poor communication, and a management team that does not prioritize the well-being of their residents. I am pursuing further action regarding this matter, and I would caution anyone to think very carefully before signing a lease at this property.

      • Been here almost a decade, and not looking to leave anytime soon!

        After being a resident for 9 years, we decided to upgrade from a 1b/1b to something bigger. To our excitement, a 2b/2b opened up just one building away from us. The entire experience of transferring our lease to the new unit was, overall, pretty smooth sailing. The office staff was knowledgeable and, when they weren’t sure, were up front about needing to double check and get back to us. We did occasionally have to poke to remind them that we were waiting, but ultimately, they were great at ...
        getting us the information and guidance we needed. Some key shoutouts go to Luis, who got the ball rolling for us and went out of his way to help make our upgrade dreams come true. Also to Zee, in charge of the complex’s maintenance…her knowledge of the different units’ features and status is encyclopedic and she was also a big cheerleader for us, even seeming to go out of her way to address any concerns we had making us feel like we were top priority. To top it all off, both Luis and Zee are incredibly positive, friendly, patient, and supportive…they definitely played a huge role in keeping our spark of love for this complex alive. Another big dollop of praise goes to the complex’s assistant community director, Adrian. As we moved into the final stages of our transfer, he stepped in to guide us the rest of the way. Throughout the rest of the transfer process, he remained knowledgeable and encouraging, even when having to deliver news that wasn’t always what we’d hoped for. Even so, he went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of, and even threw a couple of surprises in, as well. 310 Jefferson continues to be a great place to call home!

        LISTEN TO EVERYONE WHO SAYS "DO NOT MOVE HERE!" I fell in love with this place when I was looking for apartments with my roommates and they loved it too. We learned shortly after moving in that they changed parking rules. Even though the rules made it more accomodating for all of us to park our cars inside the complex, it would become an extra monthly fee on top of rent and utilities starting January 2021(managed by parking permit app, Reliant). Apartment amenities are not well kept. Dog owners ...
        that visit dog parks rarely pick up after their own dogs. The printer in the business center is ALWAYS out of ink or not working. I remember talking to other residents who said that since they changed management, they didn't do as well as they did before. The office staff is less than accommodating when trying to report an issue or requesting maintenance for an apartment fix. We have had several issues with the apartment itself. The sliding closets would break often and the drains are small that they would clog up easily. We have had a spider and roach infestation which caused us to leave the apartment for a few days. They confirmed it was done by the time we came back but the spiders came back in less than a week and we still saw roaches here and there. It wasn't until we bought something off of amazon that helped get rid of the problem completely. As for safety within the community, I would say it started off alright when we moved in but towards the later half of the year, we noticed more cop cars around our building and surrounding buildings as well as people waiting in front of the gates to let them in. I would think residents would at least know the code to the gate which makes me think this community isn't as secure as they say it is. I'd say I've been seeing more people move out than into the community within the last 6 months.

        We have been there for almost 3 years. Thought after the construction would finish the roach problem would go away.... no it didn’t. They seem to appear more when pest controls comes, and ants all summer. The new management doesn’t not have any communication skills. At the start of Covid my hours were cut asked how can they accommodate us they told us to ask the government then said if I don’t pay by a certain date further action will be taken. What!? They never gave a run down of what would ...

      • Terrible. I’ve had holes in my wall for 6 weeks.

        I’ve lived here for about a year and a half. It’s been a good experience until the exterior construction on my building started. While doing work on the outside of my unit, the construction workers negligently put several holes and cracks in my interior living room wall, getting construction and insulation debris all over my couch and carpet. If my couch had been in a slightly different position, it would have been cut through as well. I filed a maintenance request for it to be repaired as soon ...
        as I discovered the holes, but it’s been 6 weeks and I still have holes in my wall. Until last week, the outside of the building was left bare, halfway covered with a tarp that fell down and was never replaced. The sun shone into my living room through those holes. This raises some serious privacy concerns for me as well. We’re getting bugs like spiders and roaches in through the holes. It’s been a nightmare. I’ve talked to management several times about this and nothing has been done. Nothing. I had to clean up the debris inside my apartment by myself, even though I specifically told them that I didn’t know if it was safe to touch. I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but I don’t know what else to do to get management’s attention on this issue.

      • The Worst!!

        This is by far the worst living situation I've ever had. Parking is a nightmare. Never enough! And it's been under construction since I moved in last June. First it was inside my apartment. Now it's external. They call it their "extreme makeover." Construction vehicles and workers everywhere all day M-F. And I found a screw in my tire yesterday and spent 4 hours at Costco waiting in line for a repair. No doubt that screw was from all this construction. Merrick offers no break in rent or any other ...
        compensation for the inability to use the apartment and patio space I'm paying for, nor for all of the constant disruptions (I wish I could attach pics and video, you'd be amazed!). Yesterday they sawed through my drywall while attempting to remove stucco and install new wall boards outside. I now have a 4-ft crack and missing baseboard in my living room wall and the pouring rain is seeping in. Waiting for maintenance as we speak! And I'm told my building remodel will last until late April. My advice would be to avoid this complex in 2019...maybe forever given their lack of concern for residents!
