Don’t do it
February 25, 2026I really wanted to enjoy my experience here. The property manager Simona is frequently unresponsive to building issues - which there are PLENTY. Things are constantly broken or not working properly like elevators (one time for a month), plumbing, gym equipment, etc. The lack of communication and accountability for these issues is truly astonishing. Also, all winter long the gas heat is CRANKED, making the units very hot and the gas bill double or even triple what it had been in previous months. ...The only redeeming quality that the building has is the location, but there are plenty of other buildings in the area which I would bet are run much better than this one, especially at this price point. Do NOT move here - UNBEARABLE Construction Noise
June 17, 2022Since I moved in last year, this building has been going through major nonstop construction work. We received a notice in April that there will be tuck-pointing work for a span of 20 WEEKS, during the summer months when people are most often at home. There have been people going up and down my window from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm every weekday. We are asked to keep all windows closed and endure the unbearable construction noises. I work from home and the noise has been so bad that I cannot even hear my ...meetings or make calls, and I've been suffering a constant migraine that has significantly affected my health. I have the construction noise recorded as proof but cannot attach it here. There is no compensation for the residents, and I cannot even do my job in the apartment that I pay for every month or even enjoy the sunlight 5/7 days a week. All I've been told is to go work at the business center which I cannot because my work is strictly confidential, and I don't see the point of paying for an apartment if I cannot even do my work in it. In addition, the windows have been filthy since I moved in and they have not once cleaned them. October 20, 2015Dog friendly buildings as you may find in Chicago are not the easiest to find, especially in an area you want to live in. Luckily, I found 3130 right here in Lakeview. It’s got everything I want, a great one bedroom. An outdoor area to run my dog in and even a convenient store which is well convenient. Great Building, Great Location!
September 4, 2015The studios are large enough for a queen bed, plus other furniture. Spacious living area and tons of storage. Management is very professional and responsive to any inquiries. The gym is great and I have never had to wait for a machine in the laundry room - even on Sundays or Mondays when traffic is heavier. Residents are considerate and not loud. The building is clean and well-maintained. Onsite parking and additional storage are a plus! Great Lakeview studios
July 20, 2015Location is perfect, right across the street from the Lake Shore path, a couple of busses right down the block, and not to far from the Belmont stop. Biggest studios I've seen in this part of the city, views of the lake and reasonably priced. Nice walk in closets as well. Staff is very responsive to any problems, there is someone on site at all times and the place is kept very clean. The biggest issue I've had is the fact that you residents have no control over the heat. can't beat neighborhood and service
July 30, 2013I lived there for a year, moved to Edgewater, and I AM SO SORRY I DID! The maintenance staff is the best and they respond immediately. I miss East Lakeview terribly--no traffic, beautiful for walking; convenient for anywhere you want to travel--no need for a car; and oh, did I say how sorry I am to have moved.
