While I lived here there were 2 fires- one caused by a Tesla exploding and the other by a homeless person lighting an abandoned building on fire behind the apartment- the area of the property is extremely unsafe. I have had cases where a homeless man is waiting for me outside of my door and looking through the main building’s peephole. Parking is also a nightmare. The landlord said they wouldn’t renew my lease then tells me the day that it ends “I can stay”- a MONTH later after ignoring my texts ...
pleading if I could stay. I obviously had no choice but to find a new apartment. They could of spared me the stress if she didn’t ignore me text for 30 days. The landlord continuously accusing me of doing things I did not do (I lived alone) & contacting me even after I moved out and was extremely stingy on refunding me my deposit as they would find any little thing to prohibit issuing the money back. The apartment is mediocre at best (there is no natural lighting and no fire escape) you can tell it was a cheaply made production. This landlord is an absolute disaster and so unprofessional. I still cannot fathom telling someone you won’t renew their lease and then the day of sending them a lousy text message that they can after ignoring them for an entire month. There was never an issue of paying on time- I always did. I have officially moved out and they not stopped texting me knit-picking about the dust on the fans ( I hired a cleaning lady to ensure the house was spotless when I moved out.) I did my part entirely and went the extra mile to hire someone to make sure whoever the next tenants (desperate enough) to move there have a clean home. It’s the landlords property now and under the landlords responsibility the day I moved out. I also hired movers to clear my belongings out because I was only given a 4 week notice that I would need to leave- I am a student and employed so there wasn’t enough time. The landlord asked me to hire someone to fix the door because the landlords “carpenter” wasn’t going to be back in 2 weeks. I ordered a new door with the size they provided and hired handy men to install it- turns out they gave me the wrong size! Not only has she caused me immense stress and panic, they has also caused me great financial loss. The landlord is a greedy person who will do anything to put an extra dollar in there pocket.
