neighbors are pretty sociable, but it's still relatively quiet (everyone has their level of tolerance for this type of thing, I guess). Parking is a bear, even with off-street parking, because while there is only enough for car per tenant space, it's a free-for-all for multiple car owners & guests. Trash pickup is pretty consistent. Property maintenance is effective, even if on a delay, and requests may be sent via website to the management. Amenities include decent kitchen accoutrements, the aforementioned Jacuzzi tubs, 2 baths in the 2 bedroom apartments, and bi-level in the 4 bedroom version has a nice stairwell inside. Floors are a beautiful hardwood and tiles in kitchen and baths. Great plumbing. Ceiling fan in master bedroom. Not really enough storage space or closet space, but I guess that is a matter of tastes. New neighbors brought out a few of the neighborhood pests, but a quick call to management got the exterminators out, post-haste. Also, it isn't strange to see the police racing against the grain of this one-way street handling their business. Remember where you are, and stay aware of your surroundings. But there are decent neighbors in the adjacent buildings, since it is a family neighborhood, in their case. Transportation is pretty nice, although getting to the on-street parking in front is via a rougher area (corner sales team) on a one-way street. CTA blue line (Homan-Kedzie), Harrison and Homan bus lines are pretty nearby, and Roosevelt is about a half-mile walk. For drivers, the ramps and exits for 290 are pretty easily accessible. Downtown is a 7-15 minute drive, usually. Downtown is about 20 minutes on the blue line, and O'Hare is about an hour. The price is on par with higher end luxury space, I guess. I am still waiting to see how well my dollars are improving my lifestyle in this "pearl" of a property. Winter will probably be the truest tale of the tape. I think it's worth the suspense!
