Great Location at affordable price!

I enjoyed my time as a tenet in this building for mainly 3 reasons: location to the lake and overall neighborhood, affordable rent and huge. updated units.
Renting a one bedroom that was newly updated, I felt comfortable and satisfied with the unit. Equipped with ample closet/storage space and a dishwasher, this made for a great space. The heat was included in rent and worked great all winter, I was able to adjust the radiators, as well.
The only downsides I found myself wishing for was in ...
unit laundry and central AC. That being said, I was able to keep the apartment cool with window units and was able to do laundry in the shared building laundry room in the next building over. If you don't mind coin laundry and in a shared space, this apartment is a great option.
The few maintenance request that came up were handled timely and I was always able to easily communicate with the landlord for any questions. He is eager and happy to help as his family used to own these buildings and cares for them. He even plants flowers during warmer months to brighten up the landscape of the courtyard!

Hi, I rented at 3518-30 Broadway when I was at Northwestern for Law School. The apartment is a real vintage apartment. To me that means you have real wood trim, a real living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom and bath. This place had also a pantry off the kitchen and a screened in porch. The building is from the 1920's. The heat is good. I bought AC units for the summer. There is a nice laundryroom in the basement.
